Thanksgiving Break: Fire Pit--Leah changes the subject

Leah's eyes widened subtlely. She didn't know why Luke was talking like this. Sure she had seen him starring at her her before. Most men did. I guess Ashley had been enjoying her prego card to get out of any of her wifely duties.

"Yeah well I think that will get better once the baby is here. But ummm gosh it is cold out here. Think we will get snow this year?" she fumbled for a new topic.

"Eh maybe. You never know." he said as he drained his beer. "You need another one?"

"I'm good thank you though." Leah said taking a sip of her beer. She had plenty left. There was a bit of an awkward pause before Luke turned to go inside and get another beer.

The rest of the evening went rather as expected. A few more drinks and more good story telling. They all finally headed off to bed.
