Texas avoids the wrecking ball

Knowing what came next, Texas dived to the side, narrowly clearing the danger zone as the wrecking ball dropped. With a loud slam, the ball impacted the space Texas had occupied not a second ago, cratering the ground as if to show off its weight.

"Did I get her?" Scratch called from the cabin, the armour that the pair had bolted onto their vehicles making it hard to see.

"Nope." Sniff called back as she gripped the wrecking ball in both hands, lifting it with a little effort, and hurling it at where Texas lay, the weasel narrowly rolling aside before it hit her. "I'll get her." The hyena grunted, grabbing her sledgehammer again and circling the wrecking ball to try and find Texas.

Texas was not there however, the weasel having made a dash for her gun whilst Sniff was distracted recovering her hammer. The weasel was already halfway to the half-dug hole her weapon was lying in. Realising she could never catch Texas herself, Sniff turned to Scraps, the feral currently chewing on the weasel's discarded lasso. With a whistle, a cackle, and a nod, Sniff relayed her order, and Scraps sprung to his feet, charging towards Texas, cackling manically as he went.

Despite the feral's speed, Texas reached her gun first, gripping it in one hand, and a handful of dug up sandwith the other. Turning, she threw the sand at the advancing Scraps, who let out a shocked yelp as he was blinded by the projectile dust. With a whimper, and his tail between his legs, the feral hyena fled, shaking his head to try and get the dust from his eyes, and leaving him out of the fight.

With one hyena down, Texas turned her attention to Sniff, weapon raised and taking aim. Sniff hadn't been idle in all of this, and the great thug was almost upon the sheriff, hammer drawn back and ready to swing. Both law enforcer and outlaw seemed to be aimed for their opponent's weapon, their intent to disarm the other.
