Testing some things on your nurse

While Amanda kept some of your attention for experiments, your nurse Nicole received the majority of it. The first test of your powers had been on Nicole, but that had been far from the last time that you used them on her. The woman's body had practically become your playground to toy with the ins and out of your new abilities.

The day after you had accidentally shut her brain down temporarily, she returned to your bedside to once again run a few tests and checks. Where before you had basically brute **** some rudimentary control over her, you wanted to try a more subtle approach this time.

"Busy day?" You asked as she occupied herself with switching out your IV fluid.

"Mmhm..." She responded absentmindedly, not really paying attention to you as she continued to work.

You focused in on the signals swirling through her head as she worked. At this point, everything was too complex for you to even to begin to understand how to affect things in tiny ways. However, some areas of her brain seemed more active than others, so you decided to focus on that first.

"Any idea how much longer I'll be in here?" You asked casually.

"Not really sure to be honest. Probably a few more days."

It had been subtle, but you had noticed a small flare up of some sort of signal that had been dull in the background when you asked that. You were not totally sure, but you had a suspicion that it had something to do with her focus on you. Carefully, you focused and flowed a bit of energy into that resonance in her head, curious to see what would happen. The signal grew as you continued to feed it energy, and as it did, Nicole looked up from what she was doing in confusion. She looked askance before turning back to you.

"We don't usually keep patients very long if there does not seem to be anything seriously wrong with them. You seem to be doing well, aside from the blackout you had after the accident." You kept the signal going strong as she fidget slightly, still looking at you but clearly unsure as to why. "I'm sorry, I can't really think of anything else to say, but I feel like I should. I'm...feeling weird."

"I think I get the picture, no worries." You smiled and released the energy you were flowing into her brain waves.

She seemed visibly relieved when you released your hold, but there was also some hint of satisfaction. As if she was glad to have answered you after having her attention so strongly upon you. You noted what had appeared to be that satisfaction signal for later. As she finished up her work, you had another idea you wanted to try. Where before you had amplified the signal of her focus on you, you now tried to suppress it. You swirled your energy through her mind to wind down that frequency until it was all but nonexistent. As you did, she once again looked around in slight confusion, but this time her eyes seemed to slide right over you as if you were not even there.

"Nicole." You called out to try and get her attention, still holding down the signal in her mind.

She did not react, and merely finished her work. She was still standing near your bed, so you decided to see just how far her attention was diverted. Reaching out when she turned around, you grabbed a good handful of her ass.

"Hey!" She yelped, spinning around to face you.

Your eyes widened in surprise as the signal in her mind tried to flare up, but you managed to keep it pinned down. Nicole looked around in confusion as she seemed to stare right past you, absentmindedly rubbing her backside. You sat there frozen like a deer in the headlights, but Nicole did not make any move to admonish you.

"Is this place fucking haunted or something?" She grumbled, before turning to leave.

Just to be safe, you kept her attention signal suppressed until she left the room. Once she passed the doors, she was more or less beyond your range anyways.

"Interesting..."

There might be more to these powers than you thought.
