"You know what? We have a bet," she smirked.

"Perfect!" Naruto grinned at how easily he got Temari to take a sucker's bet.

"So then, onto training," Temari stated. "Seeing as we don't have Hatake-san here, what exactly were you trying to do in order to make an Elemental Rasengan?"

"Well, I was just trying to add Wind Style chakra to the mix every time, you know, the same way I make the Rasengan, but with Wind Style chakra instead of raw chakra, right?" Naruto explained.

"And you're just spamming Shadow Clones to speed it along, learn what seems to work better?" Temari probed.

"Pretty much..." Naruto replied, and proceeded to demonstrate by having two Shadow Clones attempt to form the Jutsu. Kaboom! "Yeah, that's pretty much what happens," Naruto sighed. "Doesn't seem like I'm making much progress."

"Wait, you're still relying on a Shadow Clone to make the Rasengan?" Temari face palmed. "I don't know much about the Jutsu, despite it being as famous as its creator, but isn't it supposed to be partially as dangerous as it is because it can be formed one handed near instantaneously?"

"What's the big deal? It's a powerful Jutsu either way," Naruto asked blankly.

"Idiot. Using a clone is basically telegraphing your intentions to your opponent, no wonder you struggle to hit opponents with it," she grumbled. "I woulda thought that with two years, a Sannin would have trained that bad habit out of you by now..."

"...have you MET Pervy Sage? The man is nothing BUT bad habits, with a bit of being a badass thrown in," Naruto deadpanned.

"Regardless, what are you even doing, trying to upgrade the Rasengan, when you haven't even mastered the basic form yet? You have a super fast training method, right? Why don't you use that to fine tune the Rasengan, improve your understanding of it along the way, THEN try adding the element? It could only help, right?"

"...huh... Maybe you're right. Heck, I could actually use the clone thing to my advantage still. Just trick my opponents into thinking I still need one, and when they get in close, thinking they have me, I blast them with a one handed Rasengan! They'd never see it coming!"

"...how is it that a trickster like you can be such a buffoon?" Temari face palmed. She knew of no one else so simultaneously smart and idiotic.
