Telling tales

Mark listens intently as you explain how you came to find Emi. You edit out a lot of the more intimate details, but he seems to understand the nature of your relationship. Based on the way he and Alice are cuddled together in the couch, you expect that he and the curvaceous fox girl are in a similar situation.

He seems surprised when you explain about your situation with Lili, but he keeps quiet, simply listening. As you continue, he shows a lot of interest as you tell him about your discovery of Emi’s past. You can see the questions brewing, but still he keeps quiet.

You finish by telling him about Harold, both meeting with him and the task he set before you. As you finish your story, Mark seems thoughtful.

“Naturally, I have some questions. First off, why risk getting involved with another Hybrid?”

You look at Emi. “I was worried about her cough. It seemed like the only way to get her to a doctor. We lucked out, though.”

Mark nods. “So it seems. So, this doctor…what is she to you?”

You chuckle. “A very pointed question. I’ll say that we’re very close these days.”

Alice giggles, and speaks for the first time. “Aren’t you a lucky boy. A bit spoiled, even!”

Her voice is low and sultry, naturally seductive. You nod, smiling at her. “I can’t disagree. As I said, we lucked out.”

Mark chuckles. “And here I thought I did well. I feel bad that poor Alice has been cooped up in here, though. You’ve been pretty clever, and pretty lucky, I’d say.”

Emi speaks up. “Definitely lucky, but he has his moments. And he makes me happy.”

Alice nods. “I feel the same way with Mark.”

Mark looks to you. “So, this Harold. Is he legit? What’s his angle?”

You shrug. “As to is he legit, I’d say yes. He has an interesting history. He prefers to share it himself, which is fair enough, it’s his story, after all. As to his plans? I don’t know. He plays his cards close to his chest on that one. But it doesn’t seem like he’s a bad person.”

Mark nods, and takes the card you offer him. “I’ll at least give him a call. I just don’t want anything bad to happen to Alice. She’s been through enough.”

Emi looks at the fox girl. “They experimented on you as well, I’m guessing?”

Alice nods. “Nothing as obvious as what clearly happened to you. But they did something to my mind. I’m wired differently. My libido is…strong. And they messed with my body. I didn’t used to be so…well, curvy.”

Mark chuckles. “No complaints here, of course.”

Alice rolls her eyes. “Perv.”

There’s a smile on her face that shows this is similar banter to what you have with your girls. Chuckling, you shake your head. “Well, I’ve said my piece. I’d like to keep in touch, though. We should meet again.”

Mark nods. “Agreed. It’s nice to have a visitor.”

The two of you exchange numbers, and agree to chat again. You and Emi say goodbye, and head out the door, leaving them to their home. As you walk to the car, you smile at Emi.
