Tell them to leave

You didn't immediately see the harm in letting the girls inside. Eva would be more than capable of keeping you from harm if it came to that, and the house was big enough that they wouldn't be a bother.

Eva's analysis had clearly come to a different conclusion however, and you weren't going to go defy Eva's advice. You give a nod and the microphone is activated again, allowing you to tell the two soaking beauties at your front door that they would have to continue looking.

"I'm afraid I won't be able to help you tonight. My apologies." you say politely. You didn't have anything against the two girls at your front door after all. Now just wasn't a good time for letting in random strangers in the middle of the night.

"Why not? Why can't you let us in? Please, you have to let us in, sir." the girls pleads, clearly panicking as she feels another opportunity at a dry place to stay for the night slip through her fingers. "It's so cold outside. Please..." she adds, truly begging you to let them inside now.

As much as it hurt to hear the young woman's panicked pleads for your aid, you have already made up your mind. Eva had decided that it was unsafe to let them in, so they weren't getting in.

"We'll do anything for you! We'll do whatever you want from us. Just plea-"

You cut their microphone and turn off the screen. A deep sigh escapes your lips. You hadn't realised that you were holding your breath all that time. It would be just another thing weighing on your mind tonight. The fate of two more girls. It was hard being so rational all the time, but that's what kept you alive. Precautions and a healthy dose of scepticism.

You weren't sure what to do now. Maybe it wasn't quite too late to go out and look for Victoria and Cassandra. Even if you didn't find them, being out of the house and doing something active would help you take your mind off of it all. The other option was to go back to the documents upstairs, but what you really wanted was to just call it a night and head to bed.
