Tell her you came to borrow Dad's car.

"I'm here to borrow dad's car. I need to go to the other side of town and my baby isn't made for highway speeds."

Your sister smirks as she glances down the driveway at your beaten down moped.

"Are you still riding that thing? You're not in high school anymore. Isn't it time you got a big-boy ride, big brother?"

Your face flushes with anger at seeing the derision on your little sister's face. But honestly, you are used to it at this point. Your sister treats you like dirt. Compared to her, you're nothing, she knows it, you know it, the whole family knows it. This isn't anything new.

"That's none of your business. Is dad home or not?"

"He's at the shop, mom said she'd be home later tonight because she's meeting some friends that are visiting from out of town. They're going to do old people stuff. Bingo or something. I don't know. If you want to borrow dad's car why didn't you just call him? Did you think he'd have a harder time saying no when he sees your sorry butt in person?"

At this point you've had just about enough of her taunting and you try to push past her into the house, hoping to find your dad's spare keys in his office. But your sister has other plans. She grabs at your wrist as you move to push past her, and her fingers close around your watch, pushing in the red button on the side of the worn casio watch. And in that moment, you feel the strangest sensation, almost as if a wave washed over you, and you notice that everything stopped, frozen in place.

You pause for a second, flabbergasted by what just happened. You look behind you, the world is frozen. You can see a bird stopped in mid flight. The grass on the ground doesn't move with the wind. You see a car down the street frozen in place. A kid riding a skateboard down a driveway floating in midair, locked in time right before he took a spill, a lawn sprinkler with its water stream paused midair. You look at your sister and she's completely immobile, frozen in place.

Time stopped for everyone, except you.
