Chapter 5
by Tnaisawesome
How do you respond?
Tell Eve she looks too good to be helping fat people
"You know, Eve, you look so healthy and fit. It's hard to not think you would be a sizist when you look that good. But I'm sure the customer was just upset and took it out on you."
You seem to pick up that Tatiana and Chloe sort of agree with you. However, Riley immediately gets angry and says, "What are you saying? That it's somehow Eve's fault that the customer was angry and rude to her? That's not fair. Eve was just trying to help her find something that fit her properly. It's not her responsibility to carry every size in the store. You can't blame Eve for the customer's behavior."
"No, I mean-"
"You're so superficial sometimes. Like when you suddenly wanted to have much more sex when I started working out, and everything," she adds.
You recall how Riley had let herself go a bit after you became a couple, and how your dick painfully reacted once she got a lot fitter. Fuck, you should have remembered her body image problems.
"I mean, that's natural, isn't it?"
"You're starting to piss me off!" your wife says.
Eve looks uncomfortable and tries to change the subject. "Um, can we talk about something else? I don't really want to dwell on it."
You apologize to Eve and to Riley for your thoughtless comment. "I'm sorry, Eve. I didn't mean to imply that it was your fault. I was just trying to make a joke. I'm sorry if I offended you."
Riley accepts your apology and the group moves on to another topic. However, you make a mental note to be more mindful of your words in the future, especially when it comes to sensitive topics like body image.
