What'll it be?
Teen Titans

Raven in theory was attempting to meditate; the candles were softly burning, she didn't have to be on patrol for hours, and she had left a note firmly stating that she was meditating and was not to be bothered under any circumstances. So imagine her annoyance when someone was knocking on her door, her door clearly marked to not bother her. Slowly she began to float down waiting and hoping that she was mistaken but *knock knock* she was not. "What?!" Raven called out.
"Friend Raven" Raven sighed Starfire wouldn't regularly bother her unless it was important. Raven unlocked her door letting Star float in. "I'm sorry to be the bother but I think I am the mess." Raven paused parsing out what her friend was trying to say. Despite her weird language learning make-out power English seemed to still evade the Tameranian.
"I'm sorry what Starfire" Raven groaned wanting to get this done quickly.
"That exactly is the problem. I can not understand the others as well. I was hoping perhaps you had some sorcery to fix" Starfire paused gesturing at herself emphasizing her head.
"I'm not sure that I know of such a spell but I can try." While she had worked to understand the powers she possessed and how to use them to be a **** for good after a careful search of her library she'd found something that might do the trick a spell designed to make the target able to understand others better, she turned to the hopeful Starfire. "This might work, might." She emphasized "We're going to have to follow the recipe exactly. You fill the ritual circle while I focus on incantation alright?" handing the dusty tome to Starfire.
Raven drew the circle with salt from the dead sea and made various geometric shapes within with pure black chalk. She shut her eyes and let her mind flow out into the circle drawing in power and will while Starfire began dropping ingredients into the circle in the correct shapes. Eye of newt, wool of bat, Adder's fork, scale of dragon, and Lizard's leg of course all these ingredients weren't that macabre they were simply various plants mustard seeds, moss, dogtooth violet, and so on. She breathed as she felt Starfire step into the circle almost floating with joy.
"AZAROTH, METRION...." Raven opened her eyes at the last moment to send the energy at Starfire terror filled her heart when she realized their mistake Star hadn't grabbed the plant ingredients but the literal versions unable to end the spell she choked out "Z-z-inthos!". An explosion of chalk and salt filled the room as the two were launched back into the opposite walls.
Coughing heavily Starfire called out through the smoke "Did it work friend Raven?"
Her head spinning the jewel in her forehead burned but Raven breathed and let her anger flow out, it had no power over her. This was not anyone's fault and she could fix this. "No Star it didn't we got the ingredients wrong, let me see the book. So I can work out a counterspell." and then a new smell hit her smoke and ash of old paper burning. She rushed through the cloud of dust to see the ancient grimoire had been knocked into one of her candles and was burning black flames before Raven could utter a word to snuff out the flames the sprinkler system went off soaking the entire room. They did their work of putting out the fire and turning the ancient grimoire passed down from one anointed monk to the next was now a fine paste. "This isn't good, the spell was designed to adjust your perception to make things easier for you to understand but with the ingredients changed I think its possible it changed our perception to make anything we hear make sense." if someone told someone affected by the spell something false the spell would make their minds stretch to try and and believe what they heard. In short absolute gullibility.
"That can't be good" Star announced unaware of what effect the spell had and although she didn't feel different she couldn't be certain if it had affected her.
Who had the spell affected though?
