Tarena and Jeanne both whip themselves

About a week later, Alice travelled to Arcadon from Astolfo. She found Tarena inside the now Darth Vader occupied church. The elf was naked and whipping herself.

"Tarena, please stop this"

Alice tried to take the whip off Tarena but Tarena ended up accidentally hitting her.

"I'm sorry" said Tarena, "I didn't mean to-"

"I just want you to stop punishing yourself" said Alice.

"I'm the one who had King Chamagne killed, if I hadn't betrayed-"

"Tarena, you were once whipped for something I did" said Alice, "if you wanna to punish someone, punish me"

Alice stripped off her dress and bent over the altar. Tarena put the whip down and came behind her.

"Princess Alice, I love you"

The two began to have sex.

In an Order of Saint Joan outpost, Jeanne was also naked and whipping herself. The rest of the order were used to this sight.

"I know you feel the need to punish yourself for your brother's ****-"

"It is not just my failure to prevent the king from dying, it is the anger I feel for his killers" said Jeanne, "a wielder of the Sword of Light should not feel that way"

"Well, at some point, we need to actually deal with the situation. You can flog yourself you've dealt with Vader and his dragon"

Jeanne put the whip down.

"Very well" she said, "we will launch our attack"
