Tamara Fox thinking about Aaron

Tamara Fox slumped in her chair at the nurse’s station, staring at the paperwork but definitely not *seeing* it. Her mind was elsewhere—miles away from the constant bustle of West Mercy Hospital. She sighed loudly, for what felt like the fiftieth time that morning.

Jamie, sitting across from her, finally couldn’t take it anymore. “Alright, what is going on with you? You’ve been sighing like someone’s taken your last snack.”

Tamara glanced around, making sure no one else was too close, then leaned in with a sheepish grin. “Okay, but you can’t judge me.”

“Oh, now you *have* to tell me,” Jamie said, narrowing her eyes with interest.

Tamara hesitated, biting her lip, but then couldn’t help the giggle that escaped. “There was this guy,” she whispered. “His name’s Aaron. He came in a few weeks ago... and, girl... *he was it*.”

Jamie perked up, curiosity shining in her eyes. “Oh really? What do you mean by *it*?”

Tamara leaned back, her hands already motioning vaguely in front of her. “Like... *it*. Like... I’m still thinking about him. I can’t sleep, I can’t focus. He ruined me, Jamie.”

Jamie burst out laughing, attracting a few curious glances from other nurses. “Wait, wait. Are you telling me you—”

“Yep!” Tamara cut in proudly. "I was a bad, bad girl."

Jamie gasped, playfully scandalized. “Tamara!”

“What? I’m telling you, Jamie,” Tamara said, throwing her hands up dramatically. “This white boy? I’m done. Finished. He’s all I can think about. It’s like he’s *burned* into my brain. I’m out here like a junkie with withdrawal symptoms.”

Jamie chuckled, eyes widening. “Okay, but *why*? What was so special about this Aaron?”

Tamara leaned in closer, lowering her voice even more. “He was *huge*.”

Jamie blinked. “Like... tall?”

Tamara gave her a deadpan look, then slowly shook her head. “No, girl. Not tall. *Huge*. Hung."

It took Jamie a second before it clicked, and when it did, her eyes went wide. “Oh. Ohhh... how huge?”

Tamara snorted, unable to help herself. She held out her hands, leaving a small gap between them. “Okay, you ready?”

Jamie nodded, fully invested now.

Tamara moved her hands about three inches apart. Jamie waited, waited, waited. Tamara kept going and went to six inches. Jamie’s eyes widened, her jaw dropping a little.

"Wait..."

Tamara bit her lip, her hands continuously widening, now at seven inches. “Still not even close.”

Jamie stared, completely flabbergasted now. “*No way*.”

“Oh, it gets better.” Tamara moved her hands even farther apart, now easily over eight inches, barely holding in her giggle.

Jamie blinked. “You’re messing with me.”

“I’m not! I swear on everything!” Tamara’s hands spread even farther, past ten inches now, and Jamie’s jaw was practically on the floor.

“Tamara, you’re telling me that *exists*?”

“I’m *telling you*.” Tamara was grinning from ear to ear. “And, girl... I think I’m even *underestimating* it. You know, girl inches—sometimes your mind underplays it, so you don’t completely lose your mind.”

Jamie threw her hands up. “Okay, I need a *detailed* recount. How in the world does that even—”

Before Jamie could finish, Brittany, another nurse who had just returned from vacation, came over, eyeing the two suspiciously. “What are you two cackling about over here?”

Tamara straightened up, trying to keep her composure, but she couldn’t stop the giggles. “We were just talking about this... guy. Aaron.”

Brittany raised an eyebrow. “Oh please, white boys are so overrated.”

Tamara almost choked on her laugh, shaking her head wildly. “*No*, no, no. Not this one. Aaron? He’s hung more than any guy I've seen, Brittany. He’s the exception to the rule.”

Brittany looked skeptical. “Yeah, right.”

Jamie, still reeling from Tamara’s description, threw her hands up. “Trust me, Brit, I’ve just heard something that I *need* to process.”

Tamara just giggled again. “I’m telling you, I’ll never look at another man the same way. He’s ruined me for life.”

Brittany shook her head and walked away. She was not a believer. Jamie was halfway in. She couldn't believe anyone could be that big and yet...Tamara of all people was saying. Tamara, the daughter of Gotham's richest man.

Tamara sighed dramatically, leaning back in her chair with a dreamy smile. “You don’t have to say anything. Just know that if I ever disappear, it’s because I found Aaron again and decided to live in *eternal happiness*.”

They both burst out laughing, drawing more attention from the other nurses, but neither of them cared.
