Talon: Female Supervillain with a Grudge

In the morning, you get rejected by your crush at school. In the afternoon, after class, you’re fighting an angry supervillain in the middle of Main Street in Briar Ridge. Such is life as a teenage superhero.

"Fuck you, Volt!" Talon shouts as she swings another kick at your head. A burst of compressed air snaps past your ear. "You’re the reason Fang is in jail now!"

You duck under the next shock burst, your boots skidding on the pavement. Fang and Talon. Boyfriend and girlfriend. Briar Ridge’s homegrown teenage supervillains. B-listers. Loud, dramatic, and annoying. Their greatest hits list is basically small store robberies and failed ATM break-ins. Nothing big. Nothing world-ending. Just enough to make them feel dangerous to civilians.

Two weeks ago, you took them both on at once. You fried Fang’s combat precognition before he even had time to react, beat him into submission, and handed him over to the police. Now, he’s looking at a couple of years in prison. Talon managed to escape.

Apparently, she’s been thinking about that ever since.

You roll your eyes. "It’s his fault for trying to break into an ATM in the middle of the day with no escape plan."

Talon curses and leaps into a spin. "Fuck you!" A sonic burst flares from her boot as she kicks. She might not be an A-lister, but she’s still no pushover.

Her powers are Sonic-Kinetic Manipulation. She can generate and shape high frequency vibrations and kinetic shockwaves. Shock Strikes release compressed sonic bursts with each hit. Vibro Barriers create quick shimmering **** fields that deflect attacks. Her mask includes a Sonic Distortion feature that amplifies her voice into short range concussive screams. She uses Directional Echo Sense to read micro vibrations in the air and ground, giving her a sort of sonar. She also has Enhanced Reflexes that let her track motion with unusual speed. Add in martial arts and parkour that she taught herself on rooftops and alleyways and she becomes a difficult fighter to pin down.

You’d rank her way above her boyfriend Fang, whose combat precognition and martial arts were useless against your electricity.

Talon fights like a bird of prey that hates your entire existence.

She darts in close. You let a surge build in your palm and release it in a controlled arc. Lightning cracks across the ground, and she stumbles, skidding through dust and gravel.

"I hope your day is as bad as mine!" she yells as she pushes herself up.

You sigh. "Well, you’re in luck. My day has been absolutely terrible."

Talon scoffs. "It can’t possibly be worse than having your boyfriend locked up. For two weeks, I haven't gotten..." She throws her hands up. Then she stops and rubs her face, frustration leaking into her voice. "It's just been stressful, alright?"

"Actually," you say, rubbing your forehead, "my day is way worse. The girl I’ve been crushing on for years just turned me down."

Talon freezes mid-step. She folds her arms. "That is... actually pretty rough."

You breathe out slowly. "Tell me about it."

Silence settles in, the kind that feels strange in the middle of a fight. You both stare at each other, electricity faintly humming around you, shimmering vibration fields flickering around her.

And then you notice it.

Talon is... kind of hot. Athletic. Lean. Defined abs that suggest she never skips a workout. Her black-and-red tactical outfit is custom-made for acrobatics: a crop top with sharp lines, an exposed midriff, tactical pants, arm guards, and a partial mask. Her long black hair is tied in a high ponytail that snaps behind her with every movement. Her eyes are sharp, focused, and right now, locked onto you.

She stares directly at you with an intense, inspecting expression. You suddenly realize She’s checking you out. Just like you’re checking her out.

You swallow, suddenly unsure if you’re supposed to keep fighting.

Talon shifts her weight. Her voice drops slightly. "Do you want to grab a drink or something?"

You blink behind your mask. "What?"

She scratches her cheek with her glove. "Fang is in jail. He’ll be in there for a while. Knowing him, he’ll probably find himself a prison boyfriend. Like he did the last time he was in." She sighs. "You don’t have a girlfriend. Your crush rejected you. My boyfriend is... unavailable." She exhales. "We could grab a drink. Maybe something to eat. No strings attached. Nobody has to know."

Your brain stalls. A supervillain. Asking you out for a drink. After you electrocuted her boyfriend into a holding cell. It feels morally confusing. Messy. Completely against the Teen Hero Handbook that you definitely don’t have but assume should exist.

It’s one thing to beat up a villain. But grabbing a drink with his girlfriend after sending him to jail? That’s almost cruel.

But Talon did say no strings attached. Fang doesn’t need to know. You could have a drink with her, try to redeem her, and turn her away from villainy.

And even if you can’t, even if it all goes south, a horny teenage hormone-filled voice in your head whispers about the possibility of angry, hate-fueled sex with a supervillain who has a grudge against you.

Or maybe it’s a terrible idea.

She waits. You can feel her eyes on you. Your gaze drifts to her exposed midriff, her defined abs, and her navel.

The wind brushes dust between you. You realize she’s serious.

Do you accept or turn her down?
