“Listen we had no ill will against the guy, it was just bad circumstances,” explained the scarf-wearing producer of Spousal **** as she sat in her high chair. “Our safety measures were keyed into Don Hanover’s biometrics and his character registry as is standard. Had mister Hanover actually showed up, he would’ve gotten chased and scared in a preset manner. We were led to believe that he wouldn’t have given away the ship due to how much he wanted it in the divorce proceedings.” They had already explained that as ownership of that Normandy ship hadn’t been transferred when they had set things up and the ship had been part owned by Don’s ex-wife when she gave them access; it involved some strange legalese but they were allowed to set things up.

“And our lawyers are already negotiating with the Gardner family for appropriate recompense,” interjected the producer’s assistant. “Which we are not supposed to talk about until a deal is agreed on.”

“Though rumors say, they are going to offer him a victim role on the next season of Vixen Crimes, along with a bunch of money,” said an Emma Frost from X-Men, who was getting coffee and pastries from the craft services. Batman noted her outfit and determined she was likely the Emma Frost currently acting in Real Superheroine Housewives of [REDACTED].

“Where did you hear that from!” Demanded the assistant before she realized something. “And what are you doing over here?! Your show is on the next lot!”

“You have better coffee,” Emma Frost shrugged her shoulders and walked away with her ill gotten goods, looking back a bit to side-eye the assistant. “Take it up with my husband. I believe he signs your paycheck? Hmm?” She continues walking away, purposefully swaying her hips in her designer low-riding jeans.

“Did anyone get fired or were left upset about what happened,” Batman interrogated. “I understand that several employees were left under investigation and some characters were severely injured.”

“Not really, I know someone got in trouble due to using the transmittable rage virus instead of the safe stuff and some people got pissed due to their werewolf girlfriends getting hurt,” the assistant explained while the producer had walked a bit away to answer the phone. “But as far as I know, they mostly blamed the former Mrs. Hanover for the situation.”

“Please give me their names just in case,” Batman asked and was soon given a rather short list. Batman nodded goodbye and started to leave to search for the potential suspects when he was roughly grabbed by the arm.

“Come on Batman! You were supposed to be on stage three half an hour ago!” A man with a headset pulled Batman towards a door. “You’re really getting us behind!”

“I’m sorry but you’ve got me confused…” Batman tried to protest but was pushed through the door. The room was dark and Batman looked around in caution when someone shouted from off stage.

“About fucking time! Get rolling!” The lights came on revealing a massive track and obstacle course. Seeing the massive obstacle course, Batman tried to jump off but found his legs stuck to a platform with some sticky residue. The platform spun around rapidly sending Batman into a dizzy daze. He became unstuck just as a minecart came by and snatched him up. He rolled down the track barely missing various boulders, saw blades, and random flames as he was soaked in water and sticky foam.

Soon the minecart hit a break in the road, sending Batman flying. In the air, Batman spotted a bar and grabbed it. He spun around a couple times before landing perfectly on a large mat.

“Perfect! Except for the fact you were supposed to spin around the bar three times for the scene!” Shouted a director as he marched up to Batman. Batman in response just glowered at the man while water and purple foam dripped off of him. Batman just wiped his chest revealing the insignia of PWBI to the man.
