Talking to a Toad

"Okay James, this is literally the most freakish thing that I have ever experienced"

"Think how I feel" the toad on the dashboard answered in James' voice.

"Okay, you said you can explain. What happened?"

"Well, I was dating a witch.."

"This isn't funny James!"

"You think I'd joke about this?" the ugly amphibian made an involuntary belching sound before continuing "I dated a witch. I decided not to date her anymore. Evidently she hasn't taken it very well."

"So she turned you into a toad?" Claire couldn't believe what she was hearing "Is this real? What if she turns me into a toad too for helping you?"

"I don't think she would. She wanted to see me humiliated in front of women who..."

"Women who what?" Claire asked impatiently "Come on James, we're dealing with an actual witch here. I need to know everything."

"She said she wanted me to be humiliated in front of women I would like to sleep with."

"Oh, I see..."

Claire looked embarrassed and didn't seem to know what to say. James decided to speak quickly to fill the awkward silence,

"It's only supposed to be for 48 hours. But I really need your help, I don't exactly feel safe like this. And you are the only one who can hear my talk. I know how weird this is but it is real, Claire."

Claire sighed.

"It's fine. I'll make sure you are safe. But you really need to be way more careful who you date in future!"
