Talk with Michelle

Michelle has been studiously ignoring you even as you stretch right beside her. She’s a quiet girl, but even this is uncharacteristically cold for her. You watch as she finishes her coffee, continuing to work. You’ve got to break the ice somehow.

“Want me to fill that up for you?” you ask, pointing at the coffee mug.

The green eyed beauty gives you a brooding look. Eventually, she nods.

“Okay, sweet, one coffee coming right up,” you say brightly.

She only gives you another look and then turns back to her monitor, coding away. You pick up her cup and head out to the kitchenette, grimacing once you’re out of the room. That didn’t go well. The more you think about it, the more obvious it seems. The Jack-Off is basically the antithesis of everything that Michelle seems to stand for. If you want to continue your relationship with her, you’re going to need to make some amends.

It takes you a minute to wrangle the machine, and you soon return to the lab with a steaming cup of fresh coffee. Michelle gives you another one of those looks as you place the coffee by her keyboard. Alright.

“Hey, Michelle, I just wanted to check,” you say, grabbing her attention. “Are we cool?”

She takes a sip from the coffee that you just got her.

“Sure, why not,” she says.

“Well, you might have heard some things about me today,” you say. “Crazy rumors. Stuff like that. But I want you to know that it’s… it’s just a game that I’m playing.”

“I heard the news,” she says, still sipping from her coffee. She gives you a smile. “I thought it was funny.”

“You… really?” you say. “You’re not mad at me?”

“Should I be?” she asks, her eyebrows quirking up.

“No, no, not at all, I just thought, you know…”

Michelle smiles and shakes her head.

“I don’t have any expectations when it comes to guys,” she says. “So you haven’t lost anything by doing what you did. I half expected it to happen.”

“That’s a bit dark,” you laugh. “We men can be better than that. We’re not just driven by sex, you know?”

“I’ve seen plenty of evidence to suggest otherwise,” she says.

“Yeah, like what?” you ask, and then you immediately regret it. She’s bound to have a million examples on hand.

“You know, I was once part of a game too. One very much like your own,” she smiles.

“No way,” you say. “You and another girl? Competing to see who could sleep with more guys? Who won?”

“Not like that,” she says, shaking her head. “I’m surprised you haven’t heard. It was when I first rushed Theta. I said I wouldn’t sleep with any guys. Nobody believed me. But after a semester, after all the other sisters had gotten plenty, it became clear that I was serious.”

“Seems like you’re still serious about it,” you say, and she smiles.

“Very serious,” she says. “The other Thetas, they teased me and they tested me, but at some point, they realized just how serious I was about it. We were talking late one night when Imogen came up with something. She thought it would be hilarious, and all the other girls agreed. The idea was, they would put out a challenge. If any guy managed to sleep with me, then they would all fuck him, too. They knew I wasn’t going to put out, and they wanted to watch all the stupid things guys would try to seduce me.”

“That must have been fun to watch,” you smile. “But I don’t see armies of guys throwing themselves at you. You’d think, the prospect of doing all you sisters…”

“Oh, they came thick and fast at first,” Michelle says. “They just never got anywhere close to me. I turned them all down. But you guys have thick skulls. It takes a while for the message to really settle in. Some big guys humiliated themselves thoroughly trying to get to me. Eventually, people learned the lesson.”

“So no guy ever succeeded, huh,” you say. “The story just ends like that.”

Michelle nods, and then smiles at you, the ghost of something glimmering in her eyes.

“Technically speaking, no. That game is still on,” she says. “So if somebody were to sleep with me, then…”

“Wow,” you say, your eyes widening. “Oh, wow.”

“What, does that intrigue you?” she smiles.

“Immensely,” you smile, tapping your fingers on the desk. “But it’s only that, right? A bit of intrigue, a bit of curiosity. Because you’re not going to sleep with any guy.”

“That’s right,” she smiles. “You get it.”

Because you do. If you can track this girl down during Burn Night… the reward is going to be oh so sweet.
