Chapter 4 by OldAugustine OldAugustine

Does Jack go up and talk to the girl? Or go into homeroom?

Talk to the girl

Jack starts walking towards the red head. He liked his chances with this girl, her t-shirt showed she had a really weird kind of humor, Jack liked that. Or maybe she was just one of those girls who loves saying how much they love food. Even though every single human being ever loves food because without it you die. At this point Jack had almost reached her and still had nothing lined up to say.

She looked up from her locker, " Hi?" she said confusingly, as Jack stood there for a second silently.

"Sorry my names Jack, it's my first day, I don't really know where I'm going."

"Oh okay, I'm Kelsey," she said less confused. "Who's your homeroom teacher?"

"Ms. Ambers?" he said hesitantly, feigning ignorance.

"Lucky you, we're in the same homeroom, follow me"

"Awesome thanks," he replied, there was a moment of silence before Jack asked, "So explain your t-shirt," hoping it was the humor and not the food.

"Oh i just thought it was really funny and random. Thought it would be appropriate first day attire. Armor to fend off any boring people, was that mean? I didn't mean it to be." she said slightly embarrassed. Her cheeks turning a little red, which was really really cute.

"I mean maybe a little," he said laughing, "but i think its pretty funny."

"So why you hear so early Jack?" she said as they walked into Ms. Ambers class.

"I just wanted to make sure I was prepared," he said sitting down next to Kelsey in the front row, " I mean if you've seen any movie ever you know that being late on the first day never ends well. Well I guess at the end of the movie it all works out but...yeah i just didn't want to be late. Why are you here so early?" he asked nervously, worried that Kelsey was being weird-ed out by his rambling.

"Oh I've been here for a hour already. I'm on the school dance team and we have practice before homeroom starts." she said as more students started to arrive and take their seats in the classroom.

"Oh cool, dance!" he said wishing he could feign ignorance about the subject. " I don't think I've ever danced in my life, well not in front of other people"

"Oh my gosh, well that is going to have to change Jack!" she said as Ms. Ambers quieted the class and began to give her speech about the beginning of a new year.
