Talk to the bartender

“So what do you say we continue this…” the man next to you starts but you cut him off.

“Get lost creep,” you tell him.

“Seriously?!” he responds. “I’m trying to be nice to you even though you’re far below my standards and this is how you treat me? You don’t know what you’re missing you bitch!” He starts to get in your face.

“Ok, time for you to go,” the bartender cuts in and shoos him away.

“Thanks,” you tell her. “I’m ****, but not that ****.” You act **** hoping that the bartender may open up a little. You know that some of the staff help recruit men and women into the facility. You also know what types of people they’re looking for.

“Oh yeah, what’s going on babe?” the bartender asks sympathetically.

“I don’t want to dump on you,” you say. “It just that I’m about to get kicked out of my apartment and don’t have anyone to turn to in this city. And worst of all, I just don’t know what to do with my life. You know, just small problems.” You laugh.

“I’m so sorry babe,” she replies and reaches out to give your hand a squeeze.

“You wouldn’t happen to have any bartending openings would you?” you ask. “I don’t have experience but I’m good at taking orders.” You’re telling her everything she needs to hear. If she doesn’t take the bait now then she’s not the person you should be talking to.

“Hmm,” she says. “How good at you are taking orders? I don’t have any openings, but you might want to talk to Flora in the VIP lounge. She could set you up with something but it’s not for everyone.”

“Really?” you ask, feigning surprise. “I’ll do pretty much anything!” You pick up your purse and head over to the lounge.

You know what you’re getting into. The facility is always looking for new recruits, people going through a rough patch who want to escape for a while. They’re openly transparent about what they do, that’s why you had no problem working there. Everyone signs a contract for a certain length of time and they can always leave at any time…technically.

You’ll have to do some of the things that made you want to escape in the first place. The thought sparks flashes of pleasure in your mind. You’re not completely over the effects of your brainwashing but think you’ll be able to resist anything they throw at you.
