Luby and Doll exchange glances. Doll shrugs and Luby goes on, "Sometimes it's worse than that. A human trafficking ring was busted up by the feds around the time we started high school, but a lot of girls dropped out and vanished in our years. Sometimes you hear from one and she just moved away, you realize you didn't know her enough to really miss her, shit like that. But it's enough to make this town cynical."

"Now that you mention it, this town looks too clean on the surface. There's not really a 'bad side of the tracks.' Where are they going?"

Luby looks suspicious. Maybe you seem too interested. "Yeah, so you can 'avoid' it, right? If you need help to party harder, I got a couple of guys I can call. Safer shit than you'll find in the parks."

"I think you should let me explain myself more clearly." You pause and collect your thoughts. "I think you could make an offer like that with some locals. Maybe you can encourage some girls to take better care of themselves. I think you should invite a couple of them over, see if some 'big sister' energy makes them reconsider their lives."

Luby's got that "reshuffling" look on her face that you recognize from Doll. You only took on a medium level of pain, but you kick-started some new thought processes.

Doll tries to interrupt after a few seconds, but you put your hand on hers and shoot her a meaningful frown. She takes the hint.

Luby finishes off whatever she had cooking and looks at you with a bit of shock. "Are you suggesting that I use this place as a whorehouse??"

You were going to rail the hottest local trailer trash, make light suggestions about lighter ****, and send them on their way letting Luby think she had made some small impact.

How the fuck did Luby land on "whorehouse?"
