Then what happened?
Talia's Past
A few months ago on a rainy day when Marcus was returning home from his work. He heard a sound coming form an alleyway, he got closer to look at what it was only to find Talia shivering on the pavement covering herself with a rag she found in the trash to shield herself from the rain.
He walked closer to Talia and shared his umbrella with her as he asked Talia if he could help her somehow or to take her someplace that she knows, but she shook her head disapprovingly and did not utter a single word. Not wanting to leave her all alone in the rain he took her by the hand and the both of them went to Marcus's apartment, ever since then Talia has been living with him.
At first she did not talk or say anything about herself or ask him for anything. But, Marcus provided her care and comfort.
As a few weeks passed, Marcus took care of all of Talia's basic needs (like food, clothes, shelter, etc.,). Little by little she began to open up to him as the two grew closer. The both of them spent most of their time together as he talked and shared about his daily life.
One day she decided to revealed her identity and told him her story,
"She was a descendent of witches from a lost tribe that lived centuries ago, Talia was shunned by her own tribe for not demonstrating the strength and power that the others villagers of the tribe showed even though she put a lot of effort.
One day when she was scraping the nearby forest for food a group of rogue wizards and witches captured her and performed various wizardry and witchcraft on Talia and finally used sealing magic on her as an experiment and left her to rot.
After a long time the seal weakened until finally it broke and she found herself in this new foreign world that she didn't recognize. Fearing that she would be rejected by people of this time like how it was centuries ago in her village she secluded herself in abandoned buildings and alleyways until finally Marcus found her."
Talia was shaking and afraid that after hearing her story Marcus might also shun her, she began to fumble her words as she spoke. But Marcus embraced her and comforted her as he said "that it was all in the past, it has nothing to do with me and I will be by your side from now on" which made Talia feel relieved as she cried her heart out buried her face on Marcus's chest that day.
