Taking a mission.

"What's with the backpack Ruby?" Weiss asked Ruby, who had a suspiciously large bag on her back.

"Uh, heh, you know, just in case we have a long mission like Velvet and Coco did!" Ruby stated, rubbing the back of her head nervously.

"I seriously hope not..." Weiss groaned. Unless two teams could take the same mission, a long mission for either team would mean that much time away from their Master.

Before they could discuss further, Goodwitch announced a speech from Ozpin, who stood on the stage, speaking on individuality and unity, reminding them of a war against tyranny that had been fought in recent history. And why many people this day and age has been named for colors, a core aspect of art. With that point being made, he finished by explaining their assignment to shadow a professional Huntsman or Huntress.

Once he was done, Jaune and Ruby conferred. "Well, we know they were operating in the southeast, so we should try taking missions there... The same mission if that's allowed," Jaune mused.

"Let's search under Seek and Destroy?" Weiss suggested, and both teams headed to a terminal.

They soon found a suitable one in Quadrant 5, needed to clear out Grimm. Ruby immediately entered Team RRNW, but immediately hit a snag in the form of a red message, reading, "Mission Unavailable for First Year Students."

"So, any ideas?" Blake asked.

"We MAIL ourselves there!" Ruby suggested.

"It might have worked for Zwei somehow Ruby, but seriously?" Jaune face palmed.

"What?" Pyrrha asked.

"Bit of a story, I'll tell you later," Jaune replied.

"Well, it IS one option," Ozpin remarked, approaching them, and making them stiffen. "Unfortunately, we determined that the concentration of Grimm was too **** for First Year Students." He lowered his scroll, which he had been looking at. "...it seems that region is rather popular... In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion that the eight of you will make your way there, no matter which jobs you choose..." This got Ruby and Jaune rubbing the backs of their heads as they unconvincingly tried to act innocent.

"Whatever makes you say that?" Ruby asked.

"I'm still rather curious as to how many of you found yourselves at the docks last semester. I'm particularly interested to know how you really found out about a "hideout" in the Southeast. And I'm certainly curious as to why witnesses reported seeing robots and rose petals in a dance club some time ago..."

'We really need to learn how to be more discreet about these activities,' Jaune mentally groaned.

"Uh... Well..." Ruby said.

"I doubt I'll ever learn the exact answers I'm looking for," Ozpin chuckled. "So... How about this? Rather than wait for you all to break the rules... Why don't we just bend them?" He tapped his scroll a few times, and the terminal updated, and a noticable change was that it allowed up to two teams. "It is unorthodox to allow two teams to take the same mission, but not unheard of," he added.

"...we won't let you down," Jaune told Ozpin.

"Yeah! We'll kick some Grimm butt!" Nora cheered.

"Thanks Professor!" Ruby cheerfully replied.

"Don't thank me for this. Teamwork and persistence has carried you all far, but understand that the things waiting for you beyond the Kingdom will not care. Stay close to your Huntsman at all times, and understand that he will be leading you on this mission and he can send you back should he find your skills unsatisfactory." He started to walk away, but then leaned back into the frame. "Good luck."

"Wonder who will be leading us. Maybe Goodwitch?" Yang asked hopefully as they walked out of the building.

"Doubt it," Jaune sighed. "Ozpin did say that the one leading us would be a he..."

"Shame. But at least you can still use the Note on him to make sure he doesn't find any fun activities odd or report them to Ozpin," Blake told Jaune.

"True," Jaune grinned. He did still have six members of his harem with him, so Glynda or Peach would have just been a nice bonus. Now they just had to wait for the Huntsman...

'This guy!? Seriously!?' Jaune thought.

"Well hello boys and girls! Who's ready to fight for their lives?" Professor Oobleck asked excitedly in safari gear.
