Take-off

A half-hour later, you board the plane. The two of you managed free upgrades to premium-economy, but unfortunately you're in the middle two seats of a row of four. Normally you'd bemoan this, but with Lily to keep you company, you're quite content.

As your row-mates take their seats on either side of you, you stow your bags and raise the arm-rest between the two of you so you can snuggle better. The plane taxis and then takes off with a roar. The crew makes their usual announcements, and you pull out a water bottle for each of you. Once the plane stabilizes, you turn to Lily.

"Hey. Would it be okay if we went over your family members once more? I want to make sure I can remember what they're all like so I can make a good impression," you ask, intent on earning her family's approval.

Lily nods her head and pulls out her phone, going through photo albums to find pictures of her relatives.
