"...zz..Alright, bud. Looks like it's gonna be a pretty light load today. I got just two detainees and they're all fresh. First one should be Detainee 2391. Let me know when you're good...zzz"

Unsure of what to do, you type on the computer, hoping this was as self-explanatory as everyone made it out to be.

G: I think we're starting on Detainee 2391.

A: Very good. I will be pulling up Detainee 2391's profile. Simply follow the instructions that appear on your screen. Their responses are automatically recorded and inputted into the system. If you have any questions from here on out, simply type 'Hey, AVA' and type out your question. Press the first button on your control device to proceed.

You realize your palms are wet as you grab the device. As you press the first button, there's a short beep that startles you. A man in plain shirt and pants steps into the room behind the glass wall. He takes a seat and stares nervously as he looks around his dimly lit surrounding.

Detainee 2391

A: Ask 2391 how his experience has been so far.

You clear your throat before pressing the second button to open coms.

"Hey, Detainee 2391. How's your experience been so far?"

"Um, pretty good. Just been hanging out I guess. Everyone's been pretty friendly here, maybe a bit too friendly, haha. I'll admit, the getting naked part is a little awkward. The other guys agreed not to do anything weird and so far no one has done anything."

A: Ask 2391 if he has been taking his medication. His test results are coming back negative.

"Have you been taking your medication? Your test results aren't coming back as they should.

The man noticeably shifts in his seat. He scratches the back of his head as he tilts back and forth.

"Yeah, well they've been making me feel a bit dizzy so I skipped one. I know they're required by the contract but the ring you put on us makes it hard to...you know, do anything about the other side effects."

Medications? Rings? Side effects? What was this guy talking about?

A: Tell 2391 that if he is caught not taking his medication or if he tampers with the ring, his contract will be terminated.

You relay this message to the Detainee and he nods profusely, saying it won't happen again. Nothing else of interest happens for the next several hours of the interrogation. A.V.A just asked ordinary questions about his life before the contract and what he plans to do after his service is over. Overall 2391 seemed like a pretty ordinary guy with ordinary interests. After the interview was over, I was allowed a 5-minute break.
