Take a look around

You look around the area for clues on where to go next. You're almost completely stymied when you brush some moss off a rock only discover it's no rock at all, but some kind of stone plinth. Carved into the stone you see the following symbols:

Weird.

Next to the plinth just sitting on the ground is a tightly-rolled scroll. It looks to be in great condition for something that's been hanging out in the dirt. Perhaps it's a clue of some sort dropped by a previous adventurer?
