Take a breather.

The rest of the day is normal, as is most of the next. Though at last, the upstairs bedrooms are complete apart from further furnishing. They have beds and tables, and the construction crew explains that the rest will come later. Decorations aren't as important as the more practical items. The best part is that you'll finally have a comfortable bed to sleep in, which really makes the castle feel like a home. You get up and make your way up the steps to see it for yourself. Behind you is Niki, Eva, and Amara, also eager to see what's in store.

All three of them have rooms. Like the dwarves said, it's mostly just beds for now, but they're custom made specifically for them. Of course your main party is going to reside within the castle alongside you. The others that lived within Dragonhide Manor will probably be next.

Amara's bed is queen-sized. The sheets are pale green, and the quilt itself is emerald with silver moons stitched into the fabric. Eva's bed is just as large, with rich, dark blues, and golden stars as decoration. Niki has a crimson theme to her covers. They're overjoyed to have these rooms of their own. They had them before, but you understand the reaction. This castle is your new home, and it needs to feel like one.

Finally, you all arrive at the master bedroom--the royal chambers. Your sheets, blankets, and the like, are all themed blue, and it has a curtains around it that can be drawn or retracted. This is no queen. It's a king-sized mattress... No, it looks like it might be a little bit larger than that.

"No fair! This is way cooler than mine!" Niki says.

Amara smiles. "Truly a bed fit for a king."

"It's so pretty!" Eva shouts.

Before you can make your way over, the three of them hustle over and immediately leap onto it, even Amara. They bounce up and down, and roll all over the expansive mattress. You thought maybe you'd be the first to use your own bed, but that's not something that ever could be possible with these girls as members in your party.

Eva sits up first--blouse hanging down her shoulder dangerously low. She giggles. "It's comfy!"

"Why didn't you do this in your rooms?" you ask.

You look down at a strange shape between your feet. It looks like some kind of wispy, glowing orb. But then it rises up, and before you know it, a ghostly woman soars into the air. A chill travels up your spine as she moves partially through your own body. Mela drifts to the middle of the room and smiles politely.

"You have a visitor, my lord," she says.

"I know you can go through walls, but it might be better to use the do--"

Suddenly, the door swings open behind you. A cloud of smack smoke wafts around an oncoming Yin who pants heavily. She catches her breath before speaking. "P-Please! Allow me to instruct Master about the arrival of guests, Ms. Tlarthanil. It is my duty!"

"Ah. Sorry." Mela bows her head.

"Well, who is it?" you ask.

"It is a girl with a pointed hat--" Mela starts to explain.

"Pretty please!" Yin shouts frantically. She seems flustered.

Yin isn't so shy when it's involving something she's passionate about I guess. "Uh. Feel free to explain, Yin."

She smiles and curtsies politely. "Yes, Master. The one here to see you is none other than Kashura Saylinor, though she insisted I introduce her as the Sorceress Queen. She was the mage serving the vampire Catherine if you forget."

That's right. She's tried to fight us a few times, but it never seems to last long. She was the one that opened the portal for Niki and I go quickly get to her home. Surely she never worked for Sa'dis directly, especially if she willingly helped us before. I took her as a freelance mage. A very flamboyant one.

"Let's meet with her right away," you say. "Where is she?"

"Outside the castle doors. I'll lead you straight to her, Master. But she isn't alone either. She had with her a pet fox as well as another girl. Another devil."
