Take a break.

It's been awhile, and everyone is already dressed in their pajamas. Clearly nobody wants to do any work today. No shopping. No questing. Not even any planning for what needs to be done. For now, you rest. Yin is off to tidy up, which seems to be how she relaxes, but the rest of the girls are still present around the kitchen with you. It's still raining outside, which is more than enough to entertain Peony it seems. You bring up that hanging out in the living room makes a lot more sense, and they follow suit. All of you head over, and you collapse back against the sofa with a long sigh of relief.

Niki and Eva nearly leap right on top of you as they take both the left and right side of the couch immediately after. When Amara approaches, she looks saddened, but then Niki scoots over and makes room between her and you. The elf squeezes into place, and just barely, all four of you fit.

Delphi sits cross-legged on the table in the center of the room. Meanwhile, Alice takes a seat on a nearby chair, and Snow remains standing. She seems antsy.

"Is something bugging you, Snow?" you ask.

"It's just... Sorry, Kyle. I know I should be relaxing, but I can't stop thinking about everything that's happening. And I like keeping busy. Are you sure there's nothing you want me to do? I actually find the rain quite soothing if there are any errands you wish to be run. The day is still young."

You sigh. "Well, I guess I can think of something if you really want. Don't you want to rest for a bit?"

"Honestly, I usually walk to relax."

"All right. Fair enough. Well, I would like to find Dajy if I can. She would be a huge help against the Vampire Queen. Vivi too. Maybe you can find out if they've arrived back in town or not?"

"I can do that!" She nods, turns, and begins to depart. Her loose-fitting pajama pants slack down her hips as she moves, giving you a quick cheek peek before she tugs them back up and disappears. You can hear her steps running up to the second floor.

Delphi lays back and stretches. "Doing nothing isn't so bad, but what if we play some games while we're stuck inside?"

"Games?" Alice asks with a tilt of her head.

"I love games!" Eva declares.

The pixie points at each individual in the room and counts under her breath. "Six people. That's a pretty good number for pretty much any game. I have a particular one in mind, though. Has anyone ever placed Truth or Dare before?"

"We have that on Earth," you say. "Or at least a game with the exact same name."

"Oh good. Your world sounds pretty fun. Let me explain it to those who haven't played it before. We each take turns in order, usually around in a circle, and when it's your turn, you get to choose one other person and ask them to decide between either truth or dare. If they pick truth, you can ask them any question and they have to answer it. For dare, you can get them to do something."

"Anything?" Niki asks.

"Within reason I mean. Try to keep things brief. Like don't dare someone to dance for five hours. Just stick to thirty seconds or something. It's pretty loose."

"If we refuse, do we lose?" Amara speaks up.

Eva raises her hand. "I know about this game! There are a ton of variant rules, but usually when someone refuses a truth or dare, they are punished in some way. Like, removing a piece of clothing or something."

Delphi laughs. "So you want us to bet clothes, hm? I'd expect nothing less."

"I d-didn't say that!"

"Then it's agreed. And what a shame that would be, since we're all in our pajamas. You lose after only a couple refusals. Well, we need to make the rule that you can't dare someone to strip then. That would be silly. Anything else we can figure out as we go."

"This is all happening so quickly." Alice looks flustered. "I do not know if this is all right."

"Relax, sweetie. We're all pretty close, right? We even live in the same house. The blinds are closed. We've all seen quite a bit of each other already. I feel like we need to be comfortable enough with one another to play a simple game like this one if we're going to continue staying under the same roof."

"We have been through a lot already," Amara says.

"Some of us have been travelling together for some time now, too!" Niki says proudly. "Remember, Kyle? I was the one that taught you the ropes of the Adventurer's Guild. I was your first."

"Don't word it like that," you mutter.

"Well, I'm game. Let's move stuff out of the way and sit in a circle so we have more room," she continues, and then looks back to you. "What do you think?"

"Hey why not? It could be fun."

"Then let's play some Truth or Dare!" Delphi shouts.
