Take Sabrina with you

Taking Sabrina directly home with you was not part of your plan. Now you don’t have time to wash up or change or even get food. Maybe she really does just want to jump your bones as soon as you take her home. If you’re both discrete about it, you could get it over with in the parking lot, in the backseat of your car. You remind yourself that Sabrina had wanted your first time together to be ‘perfect’, and neither scenario really fit that description in your mind. You doubt it would appear that way to Sabrina either. There must be something more to it.

“Wait, so you want to head over with me right away?” you ask her, looking around to make sure no one is around to listen in.

Sabrina looks at you sheepishly and leans forward, speaking in a hushed tone. “I thought the pics were a big enough hint!”

“Yeah, they were!” you agree emphatically. “But, what happened to keeping things on the down low here? Wouldn’t people wonder if we went home together?”

Sabrina took another quick glance around and replied in the same quiet tone, “Well, they don’t have to know where we’re going… we could just be going out together… friends can do that, right?”

“I guess so,” you agree.

“We already went out for lunch together, it won’t be a big eyebrow raiser…” she reasons. “Besides, if I don’t go with you now, I get the feeling something will come up and then I’ll end up putting it off and… well, I don’t want to…” She smiles at you demurely, cheeks a shallow pink.

You think for a moment. So it’s not that she’s jonesing for you so bad that she wants it right away, but a case of her possibly losing her nerves about it. She could have fooled you with all the nudes she’d been sending during work, but maybe those were her way of affirming her decision to make this happen today.

Thinking it over, Sabrina being with you doesn’t have to change your plans that much. Plus, like she said, a whole lot of things could get in the way of your special evening together if you split up now. She’d head back home, where Emma would be waiting and Emma might distract her with sister things and then they’d get into a big fight and ruin her mood and she wouldn’t want to come over anymore. Or, you could get caught up with finding dinner and then she arrives too early and then has to wait for you but won’t know what you’re doing and might think you ditched her and then leave…

The worry of your night with Sabrina being messed up draws you to the conclusion that you should stick together.

“Alright, let’s go then!” you smile, offering your arm like a gentleman.

Sabrina smiles back and looks at the proffered limb. She hooks her arm underneath and wraps it around in a friendly embrace. The two of you walk out of the office, looking like a couple of close buds heading out for drinks. Most of the office is already out and those that are still around don’t know you two well enough to question your relationship together. You pass through the halls and the main lobby without incident, then head to your parked car.

Inside, buckled up, you start the car and Sabrina asks you, “So, what’s the plan?”

You glance over and see your eyes on you. They look expectant, anxious and excited all at once.
