You look across the front seat of Jen's car and pitch her on your next stop after cutting short your birdwatching date in the abandoned riverside campground.

"How about this," you tell Jen. "Ever done it in a car wash?"

"No," Jen says. "Have you? How was it?"

"Umm," you say. "Well, ah..."

"Haha, Kels," Jen says. "Just with guys, then?"

"It totally worked, you know?" you say."I want to try it with you. C'mon, girlfriend for a day."

Jen laughs. "Okay, Kels, today I'll be your boyfriend, for purposes of car wash shenanigans. But you're paying."

"D'ya got 'Tunnel of Love' on that thing?" you ask. Jen has kind of a dinky compact car* but the sound system is okay when there's not too much road noise.

"Surprised you didn't know the playlist," Jen says, "But I guess we were going heavy on the road trip atmospherics and the singalongs. Here." Jen pushes some buttons on the console and some moody slow vocal stuff comes on.

Jen doesn't resist when you slide a hand between her legs to where her jean seams meet. X marks the spot.

* I was imagining a flat back 1980s Honda Civic in shiny blue with a stick on chrome fish with a shark fin as a poke against the Christ fish, driven by a medical student who I now recognize as a partial source for Jen. But she was much more laid-back than Jen. But substitute any suitable car.
