A thought that had been playing in my head all along kept growing, and now it was prompting me to move, do something that I wouldn't think I'd even consider.

Approaching my friend and the person hitting on her, I got there faster than the sly, calculating fox that is Yara.
"I'm sorry, Samuel, but aren't you here with someone?" I asked him, putting him on the spot.
"The more the merrier, don't you think? Couldn't pass up on the chance to be with that sexy one here." He blatantly said about my friend, hitting on her.
"I'm sorry to say that that's my date you're hitting on. I'm sorry that yours left you behind for some other hunk probably, but Eva's mine." I said, hooking my hand around her waist and pulling her closer.

She let out a small wimp, blushing at what was happening.

I looked at Samuel, an imperceptible motion of my head asking him to leave. He smiled gracefully and spoke, before walking away.
"I'm sorry to have been a bother, ladies. Don't hesitate to talk to me should you need me."

Him dealt with, I saw Yara still standing at a distance. I couldn't chance her taking my date away any longer.
"Wanna get out of here?"
"Yes. Please."

I could feel her falling for Yara's plan. This was going to be fun.
