They then slowly walked together to the cinema. They walked slowly together and without them noticing, they were walking rather closely with each other. Eddie was trying his best to keep his cool, but he didn’t notice Alexis’s pink cheeks. She was embarrassed with the fact that people were staring, but in a good way. She heard some people complimenting on how good they look together. Her face turned red, so intuitively, and without notice she buried her head on Eddie’s arm.

Eddie was surprised. Alexis herself was even more surprised with her own actions. Eddie just instinctively held her closer. Alexis felt some sort of comfort, a great comfort that she never thought she could get from him. She smelled his cologne and she was feeling very cozy indeed. She was feeling as though clinging to Eddie’s soft but muscular arms was the right thing and best thing in the world. She was stunned. “Wait! What am I doing? He’s not even my boyfriend! He’s just my friend!” thought Alexis all of the sudden. She immediately took herself out of Eddie’s gentle hold.

She didn’t say a word. She just pushed some of her raven hair that has fallen behind her ear. She looked awfully sweet and Eddie could feel his heart melting just by looking at the gorgeous sight in front of him. Although he was somewhat disappointed that the tender hold they shared moments before was broken, he didn’t care, it was worth it just to see Alexis sweet stroke with her hair. Her actions really made him starting to fall for her.

They suddenly found themselves in front of the cinema. Eddie tried calming things down by starting to talk. “So my dear, what movie would you like to see? Anything you want, I’ll be happy to oblige,” Eddie said sweetly. Alexis just smiled at Eddie’s and was impressed by how sweet Eddie was being to her. From his gestures to his words, every little details that Eddie may not notice he was doing really touched the young woman. She was delighted in the change with Eddie.

“Hmm, what about a chick-flick?” she asked him playfully, knowing very well that Eddie, or any other straight man in the world would hate to watch a chick-flick. Eddie swallowed hard and quite dramatically with a smile for Alexis’s benefit. Alexis kept her straight face, even though she wanted to laugh her head off. “Err… if that’s what you want to watch, then I won’t mind,” he said that as honestly as he could. True, he hated chick-flicks, but he wanted to make Alexis happy, especially after the somewhat awkward moment they had.

Alexis smiled sweetly towards the young man in front of her. She wrapped her arms around Eddie. This time she did that intentionally, just because she wanted to, though it didn’t deter Eddie from being afraid. He really didn’t get Alexis. But he wasn’t complaining of her arm around him. “No, I’m just joking Eddie. How about we watch ‘The Chronicles of Narnia? I hear that it’s very good, “she said sweetly and looked innocently into Eddie’s brown eyes.

Eddie gave a light chuckle. “Of course my dear, anything for you,” he exclaimed simply and went to buy the ticket. He then moved mechanically to buy two huge popcorns and two large sodas.

“Eddie, we’re never going to finish this!” Alexis exclaimed with a raised eyebrow. “Is that a dare?” Eddie replied with a cute smug. Alexis just smiled, “at least he hasn’t lost all of his cockiness, hey, as long as he doesn’t turn into the arrogant asshole like he was years ago, I’ll be happy!” thought Alexis.

And then once again, Eddie’s phone rang. Alexis mumbled something along the line of “Mr. Popular” as she took a sip of the soda. Eddie heard that and just lightly tapped Alexis’s cheek good-naturedly, as if slapping her. Alexis giggled happily. Not only does Eddie possess a serious side, which showed his maturity, there was also a funny and joker side to him that prevented him from being oh-so boring like so many other men she knew.

Eddie phone rang again and he took out his phone with a smile still intact for Alexis and was surprised to see Natasha’s name popping up again.
