Swap with a customer
If I’m part of the wait staff, Ruby realized, I’m going to have to work. I’ll only be able to catch snippets of their conversation. A customer would be better. She watched from across the street, trying to pretend she was waiting for someone to avoid drawing attention to herself. Jaune and Weiss eventually were seated and now Ruby knew where to target. There were two possible options.
The first was a single guy in the corner of the room reading a book. He had red hair that came down over his right eye, with a complete undercut. His outfit consisted of a white sleeveless shirt and light gray pants. A red coat was draped over his chair. It looked like he was taking advantage of the peaceful atmosphere to catch up on his reading. Something Ruby knew Blake did whenever she could.

On the other side of Jaune and Weiss, there was a group of four girls. They were obviously close, which implied they were either friends or a team from another school. All of them wore brightly colored outfits. They were a little closer to Jaune and Weiss, so Ruby would be able to hear her friends better. The issue was she would also have to contend with whatever they were talking about and acting like the person.

Ruby looked between her targets as she decided which one to Life Swap with.
