Suspended

Yup you were suspended for almost blowing up the school of course some of the more vocal professors advocated that you be expelled from the school however all of your professors with the exception of Dr. Haas argued and advocated that you should only be suspended instead.

So in the end the disciplinary board who were called in since the facility felt the headmaster was too close to you decided to suspend you instead ruining any chances of actually dueling this season and forcing you to be confined to your room for the next three months with the only exceptions being to perform your duties as an RA and going to class.

After hearing the news you held in your anger and simply accepted it. You had explained that you what you had been trying to accomplish that night showing them the spell and everything but the board completely overlooked that fact citing that whether intentional or not their decision still stood.

Resigned to your fate you accepted their decision and reluctantly followed their punishment to the letter. A few weeks into your punishment your Winchester Lever Action Rifle came in only to sit in its box unused as you couldn’t go out to buy ammo or use the training grounds the same holding true for your colt as well. As you sat in your room you took out your black book and soon began to read the pages hoping to pass the time.

If you were gonna be trapped to the confines of your room then you were gonna make sure you got the most of it and study. As you scanned the pages full of purple runes you soon stumbled upon a page with the title. “Void Lance” as you studied the technique and theory you soon added a new spell to your arsenal too bad you weren’t allowed to duel.

If there was one bright-side to the suspension it was that Silas had finally left campus with only an inconclusive investigation to show for it. As you laid on your bed you began to close your eyes when you heard frantic knocking coming from your door.

“I’m coming I’m coming don’t get your panties in a twist.” you yelled angry at being awoken. As you unlocked the door you soon found yourself face to face with your beautiful, blonde girlfriend Harmony. Even after dating her for a few months now you still got butterflies in your stomach every time you saw her and your stomach seemed to drop every time she smiled or even kissed you.

As Harmony walked in she sighed before flopping herself onto your bed. As you closed the door you soon walked over laying next to her as she laid face down in the bed silent. “Whats the matter?” you asked as you placed a hand on her back. Harmony only nodded into the bed before you looked and noticed that her eyes were bloodshot, her makeup was a mess, and she looked like she had been crying for a while as a few loose tears left her cheek you could feel through the psionic bond between the two of you that she was in a lot of pain.

“I don’t know how to tell you this Nathan but I umm I'm pregnant.” Harmony said closing her eyes as more tears broke free from her eyelids.

You felt like someone had punched you in the gut you hadn’t been expecting that. Your world had circled around Harmony, your aunt, school and now she was pregnant with your kid! You fell back on your bed as the realization hit you as clear as day that you were gonna be a father and you were only 19 for gods sake! As you stared at the ceiling you could hear Harmony quietly beginning to cry before you snapped back to reality and sat back up on the bed gently hugging Harmony.

“What do you plan to do?” You asked as you held your girlfriend. “I am gonna keep it.” Harmony said in a small voice. You could hear her physically choke up before she spoke once more. “I understand if you don’t want see me anymore but-“

You cut her off before she could finish that thought. “What makes you say that? I’m gonna be father don’t you know! I mean I am utterly terrified but it takes two people to make a baby last time I checked.” You said rubbing Harmony’s back as she only choked up upon hearing your words.

“I was so scared my father always told me that if I got pregnant before marriage I would be hated and alone I-“ You lifted Harmony’s tear covered face to be level with your own before speaking. “Harmony Ashcroft If you think I am gonna leave you alone then your crazy and second your father can go to hell.” You said before kissing her forehead and holding Harmony to your chest as she continued crying.
