Chapter 7 by Zanzibar Zanzibar

Who do you think about first?

Susan, your ex-wife

Following the night when you first discovered your new skill, you had only really tested your powers of persuasion on people who were relatively friendly to you. These people were more accustomed to you chatting, dropping hints into the conversation and gradually turning them around to your way of thinking. It was obviously possible to influence somebody more quickly than this – instantly, even, as in the case of the muggers, so it was worth a trial.

You had to think of somebody who you could talk to, but somebody who disliked you. Mistrusted you, even. Susan, your ex-wife, would be perfect.

Susan had moved away from the area for work following your divorce, but had recently returned and moved into a house not far away with her new partner. The marriage had broken down ultimately due to a lack of trust and respect, as the two of you had admittedly married too early and drifted apart over time. Surely she was ideal: she didn’t trust or particularly like you, but whenever you did speak you were civil at least. The question was, how to approach her?

Susan was a lawyer specialising in employment issues, so you emailed her with a made up story about how you were being sexually harassed by your boss and needed a little honest advice. Would it be possible to meet for a chat before you decided how to proceed, you asked? You figured she would find the idea of you being abused in such a salacious way quite entertaining, and sure enough she invited you to her office for a free consultation. This meant you would have around forty minutes to try out your skills, and to push her as far as you could. One thing which made this a little more challenging was that you had no intention of fucking her, but a little humiliation would go down nicely.

On the day of your appointment she kept you waiting in the outer office of course, showing how little she respected your time. You used this time to think over the options you had considered, and how to quickly get into the persuasion part. Every minute which passed increased your resolve and the lengths you would be prepared to go to.

Eventually Susan’s secretary called you in and ushered you through to the office. Susan stood up from behind her desk and shook your hand; polite, serious, business like. She looked good, you couldn’t deny: black hair tied back in a loose pony tail, light make up and a tailored black trouser suit. She had lost weight, and looked quite toned from what you could tell.

After exchanging pleasantries you got down to business.

‘It’s Rachel, my boss,’ you explained. ‘She seems to have some issues with boundaries, and I’m struggling with it.’

Susan nodded, listening. ‘What form is this alleged harassment taking?’ she asked.

‘Well, here’s the thing,’ you explain. ‘I’ve looked into the legal situation, and she isn’t actually doing anything wrong at work. I know what is allowed in the workplace, and all that is fine. It’s her contacting me outside of work which I’m concerned about.’

‘What is it she is doing in the workplace?’ Susan enquired.

‘Oh, all normal stuff, really. Sometimes she will touch herself, sometimes she asks me to spank her, sometimes she will strip off and masturbate in the office in front of the staff, sometimes she will call somebody into her office to have sex. Of course, all of this is perfectly normal at work and isn’t a problem.’ You pause a moment, waiting to see if this sinks in.

‘Yes,’ said Susan, scribbling on a yellow pad. ‘Nothing there to worry about, that all sounds perfectly normal. So what is your problem?’

Excellent, you think. It is working. ‘I don’t mind all that at work, why would I? But she is calling and messaging me outside of work, trying to talk me into meeting her to do the same stuff, and I just think that’s inappropriate to be making sexual advances outside the workplace.’

Susan nods again. ‘I see. I’m not sure where your case is here, to be honest. Surely you can just say no? If she wants you to have sex with her in the office that’s fine. But outside of work you have no obligation to do what she says.’

Your turn to nod, as if you are digesting this advice. In reality, you are thinking about what to get her to do first.
