Surrender

It took me a while to form a real train of thought, but I felt that I had pushed my luck enough. I kept telling myself Azula was bluffing, but currently she was a bit too creepy for my taste.

"That sounds just like what I'm going to do." I finally offered her, before reaching for a pack of cigarettes. My nerves were really blank at this point.

Her smile grew a little wider. "Good. I'll give you credit for trying to resist, though. It was... refreshing, if a little futile. Now, why don't we... what are you doing?" It was genuine interest in her voice this time as she observed me lighting my cigarette. Oh right, they probably don't have lighters in the Avatar world.

"Uh, it's a kind of mechanical match." I responded, as I took a deep puff.

"I figured that much, but what are you burning there?"

"A cigarette. Helps to calm people down."

She sniffed at a cloud of smoke coming her way and wrinkled her nose in response and was about to comment on it, but I beat her too it.

"Yes I know. Smells disgusting to non-smokers."

She glared at my hand for a few more seconds before smiling at me again. "So, did I make you nervous?"

"Threatening people with **** and **** tends to do that to them, yes." I half-chuckled, half-deadpanned.

"Good thing that we came to a mutually beneficial agreement then, right?"

I preferred to remain silent at that. I wondered how things would turn out. Would I really become her servant now? She did pretty much say that she'd go easy on me, didn't she? On the other hand I still had the option to remote shutdown her if she became too tyrannical. Glancing over to Azula I found her still silently glaring at my cigarette. What was that about, anyway? Oh well, for now I would just go along with whatever she was suggesting and see where it would take us.

"What did you want to say?" I finally asked as I put out my cigarette.

"Ah, why don't we start with you giving me a tour of the house?"

"Seeing how this is a thinly-disguised order, why don't I." I sighted as I got up.

Maybe this at least meant I would get some clothes on.
