Surrender

You drop your sword and raise your hands in surrender. Hopefully, the Rat-Men just want food or some other commodity. It’ll be tough to replenish your stocks on such short notice, but you can make do.
“Well, what do you want from me?”

The Kobolds mutter amongst themselves for a minute before a pair of them moves forward to bind your arms together and starts urging you toward the other tunnel. The remaining Kobolds move in front and behind you. There’s no escape now.

You are led down a series of passageways. How the Kobolds differentiate one from another is beyond you. Either way, your captors move briskly until you reach a cavern much larger than the one you were previously in. The cavern walls have many alcoves carved into them. You can only assume the Kobolds live in them. There are quite a few Kobolds gathered to see the newest acquisition. You’d say that makes for a total of fifty with more coming in via the tunnels.

You don’t have long to admire the scenery as your captors quickly move you into another, shorter series of tunnels until you reach a sort of makeshift cell. The Kobolds lock you in and go back to the cavern, chattering in a language you can’t understand. As you predicted, the cell’s bars don’t budge.
