"You guys have an Excalibur?" Issei asked, looking at Xenovia and Irana skeptically. He could see Xenovia having one, it was very likely her wrapped weapon, but Irina seemed unarmed. Issei had assumed she was more a magical user among the Exorcists.

"Yes," Xenovia stated, beginning to unwrap the weapon, and showing it off. "This one is called Excalibur Destruction," she informed them. Kiba stiffened at seeing it, and Issei put a hand on his shoulder, and squeezed, a silent warning not to start shit, and miraculously, Kiba took the hint and **** himself to relax... For now.

"And mine is called Excalibur Mimic!" Irina nodded, grabbing some wrappings on the sleeve of her Exorcist robe, which then transfigured into a Japanese style katana. "It's really convenient in that it can freely alter its shape~!"

"So, who exactly stole those three Excaliburs?" Rias asked, crossing her legs.

"A member of the Grigori," Xenovia replied stoically. "Kokabiel."

"Kokabiel?" Rias asked, suddenly looking a bit nervous, and Raynare in the background grimaced. She'd fucked up by going behind Azazel's back, justifying it as doing something that would benefit the Fallen in the long run by making her more useful to them, but Kokabiel... He practically made a sport of that, and caused Azazel no end of headaches. He got away with it because he was a member of the Grigori though. "One of the most notable members of the Fallen Angels..."

"Um, the Grigori?" Issei raised a hand in question.

"The leadership of the Fallen," Akeno explained. "Azazel is at the head of it, obviously, but other roles are filled by other members of the Grigori."

"Ah," Issei nodded, before looking towards Raynare. "...I take it Azazel knows nothing about this?" he asked her.

"I wouldn't say he knows nothing about it, but I would say that he didn't sanction it. He does try to keep an eye on Kokabiel, but likely doesn't know the specifics of his latest shady dealings," Raynare replied. "Otherwise, he may have stepped in already."

Irina and Xenovia whipped their heads around to look at Raynare. "... there's a Fallen among you?" Xenovia asked, tightening her grip on her blade. She was already dealing with her technical enemies in the form of Devils, but she had mentally prepared for that, she clearly wasn't expecting Raynare.

"Long story," Issei said quickly. "Let's just say she herself did some things against us that Azazel didn't sanction, and now she's working off her crimes under us under his orders. We're not outright allying ourselves with the Fallen, if that's what you're afraid of..."

The two Exorcists relaxed somewhat. "That's still an interesting development..." Irina mused, cupping her chin thoughtfully. "We were originally going to request that you stay out of our business, and let us handle the situation, so as not to make the Fallen nervous with knowledge of an alliance, however temporary, between our factions. Joint work between any two factions tends to put the remaining one on edge."

"...because they see it as a potential sign that both other factions might be gearing up to work together against them?" Issei guessed.

"Pretty much, yeah," Irina nodded approvingly. "And given that the one we are going against is a member of the Grigori, that would have added fuel to the fire of suspicion. Michael-sama reasoned it was best in the long run to handle this ourselves, and just inform you why we were here and ask to do our business without interference... But, if you guys have a direct line to Azazel, that might smooth things over."

"That isn't necessary," Xenovia cut in. "We are perfectly capable of dealing with this ourselves. As wielders of Excalibur ourselves, even Kokabiel can be dealt with."

"Perhaps, but it may be better to avoid long term trouble if Azazel is looped in," Irina reasoned. "Besides, this is happening in Gremory territory to begin with, so it kind of does involve them already, so our request wasn't exactly the most reasonable one."
