Surprise inspection

K-T was sitting in class trying to follow a boring lecture on the economic impact of the cold war on agriculture when was startled awake by the cracking sound of the PA system.

"Your attention please. This is principal Valence. A special unit of a governmental agency is here today for a surprise inspection. I can't tell you what it is about now but it is a very serious issue so please follow my instructions to the letter. Every senior student must strip to their underwear immediately and leave all other belongings on their desks. They will then go to the gymnasium in an orderly fashion and line up by class while waiting for inspection. Refusal to comply will get you in big trouble, you have ten minutes."

Instantly after the announcement the class erupted in a total mayhem of whispers, chatters or even shouts of complaining from all the students.

"Calm down, calm down," said Mrs Winslow their history teacher. "I'm sure that there is a valid explanation to this. I can tell you this isn't a sort of exercise since I wasn't made aware of it, I'm as surprised as you are."

"They surely can't expect us to strip down in public?" replied a girl on the front row.

"You can all keep your underwear on and from what I see these days you'll be no more exposed than you would be at the beach. Come on, hurry up, you don't have much time left."

Many students had already started removing most of their clothes, but there was a **** to be the first to be in their underwear, especially among the girls.

K-T at the back of the class had been quiet, he had removed his socks and shoes but he still had his large white t-shirt on. He was cursing the announcement in his mind and wondered what he was going to do. His main worry was what he was wearing under the t-shirt.
