Sure, she'll drive Jessica

"Sure thing, honey. I can't wait for tomorrow for the new you!"

"What exactly do you mean by that?" Jessica stammered.

"Your new outfits! You should show off your curves..."

"Yeah, about that..." Jessica started to explain.

"No time! You're already 30 minutes late," Grace pulled her daughter by the elbow to her car as she drove off.

Jessica wanted to ask her mom about the bags of clothes that had been in the kitchen, and unbeknownst to her were now in the trunk of the Civic she was riding in. However, Grace's firm demeanor made her forget on the way out of her house, and the fact that there were only 20 minutes left in homeroom made Grace speed and Jessica forget all about it. Thankfully, Grace made it to the school with five minutes to spare for Jessica to rush into her homeroom and hopefully not take too much heat for her tardiness.

"Bye mom, thanks so much for driving me to school!" Jessica kissed her mother on the way out of the car. "Don't worry, my backpack's in my locker. I can't wait to meet new friends!"

"And I can't wait for them to meet you!" Grace waved to her social butterfly as she pulled off.

Jessica wasn't aware of this, but Grace's next stop was the Goodwill to put all of Jessica's clothes. Mistakenly believing that she had more clothes to change into, Grace figured that Jessica's closet was in need of a deep cleaning, and was happy to help her daughter. This meant that the shoes, socks, underwear, shirt, and jeans that Jessica was wearing, plus whatever she had the foresight to pack in her bag for gym, were the only pieces of fabric Jessica would have left to her name.
