"That sounds handy, thanks!" Replies Samus, reaching forward and picking up the chip that the computer had presented to her. The zero suit surged out across Samus' body, and she reached around to the back of her neck. She paused for a moment, contemplating whether this was really a good idea.

"I can sense your apprehension Miss Aran, I assure you that the upgrade will cause no harm or damage to either your body or the child." Explained the A.I once again, attempting to comfort her.

Samus took a deep breath. Just the same as before, she pushed the chip into the port on back of her neck. Without any warning, Samus felt a burst of heat from the area and an audible fizzle. Confused, she reached back to touch the port. The chip was gone.

"What the fuck!?" She exclaimed

"I regret to inform you that I was restricted from telling you that installation of that upgrade is irreversible and permanent." Informed the computer

"For fuck sake! What does this mean for me now, then?" She asked

"Upon becoming impregnated and the fertilised ovum settling in your uterine wall, the baby will grow to full term in only one month." It explained

"Oh Fuck. Ok. I better make sure I use a condom AND birth control from now on!" Samus laughed nervously, "I mean, a month? That must not be good for my body. Surely not. This isn't gonna tear my stomach open or something is it? Am I going to be ok?" Samus panicked. She took a few breaths to calm down.

"Do not worry Samus, I assure you that the upgrade has made all necessary physiological changes to allow your body to support such a short gestation period at the same, if not greater, profficiency it would have done for a full 9 month pregnancy. Your body will not come to any harm as a result of this."

"Ok. Let's get this over with. Is this where I find out you have a collection of sperm samples on board?"

"Certainly! They were frozen here for research purposes. I can tell you they are of exceptional purity and quality. Assuming you would like to use one, I can have it through the appropriate thawing process in 2 hours."

"Please do so, thank you."
