Chapter 9 by android1966 android1966

Where to now?

Sunnydale.

"Are you sure that she'll come this way?" Ethan asked.

Beside the corrupt magician was Willy the snitch. Ethan's first stop after arriving in Sunnydale had been Willy's bar and the simple act of his Wolfram and Hart supplied heavies bouncing Willy off the wall a few times, had given him vital information.

Buffy it seemed had a younger sister called Dawn, an eighteen year old high school senior. Ethan seemed to remember this was correct, though oddly he didn't recall ever seeing Dawn when he was last here in Sunnydale. Buffy and her crowd, who had apparently swelled in number and been nicknamed the scooby gang were known to be extremely protective of the youngest Summer girl. For a pitifully small bribe Willy was persuaded to point Dawn out to Ethan on her route home from school.

"How do I look?" Ethan asked Willy for the third time since they'd positioned themselves in an alley with a view of the sidewalk. "I look the part, right?"

Ethan wore a police officer's uniform, figuring that the disguise would allow him to get close enough to Dawn to use his spray on her. Forcing a readjustment on the girl would have Buffy and her meddlesome friends splitting up and searching all over town for him. Once they were separated Ethan could pick them off one by one.

"There, that's her." Willy said, pointing Dawn out on the street. "Don't worry Limey, you look like a regular cop. Now gimme my bread."

Ethan peeled off a twenty and Willy snatched it and scurried away. The Englishman slipped onto the sidewalk and followed Dawn. The girl was slim and pretty, dressed simply in a short black skirt and white blouse with a schoolbag on her shoulder. Ethan lengthened his stride and closed in on his prey.

"Excuse me miss, I think you dropped this."

Dawn heard someone call behind her. She stopped and turned. A police officer was walking up to her holding out a school textbook. She checked her bag, but it was buckled shut with no way for a book to fall out.

"It's not mine officer." Dawn said, "but I could take it into school and hand it in if you like."

"Could you?" The cop said. "That would be very public spirited of you Dawn."

"You have an accent like my friends Giles and Spike." Dawn commented taking the book from the cop. "Hey, how do you know my name?"

"Don't worry I'm an old friend of Giles." The cop said, grabbing Dawn's arm and pointing something at the girl's face.

Ethan pressed down on the nozzle, keeping it depressed as he sprayed the now frightened and struggling Dawn directly in the face. The can fizzled empty and he relaxed his grip. Dawn twisted out of his grasp and brought her knee up as hard as she could. Ethan let out a tortured gasp of air as his testicles were driven upwards and clutched his bruised gonads, the empty aerosol can rattled to the floor.

"Don't you people ever learn not to mess with the Summer girls?" Dawn shouted at the writhing man.

A big black cadillac with tinted windows screeched up to the kerb. Two black suited goons jumped out and bundled Ethan into the backseat before the automobile sped away. Dawn looked after them, puzzled. Then she picked up the can and turned and ran for home.

Which can did Ethan use?
