Sundown

"Well, that was a nice long nap," said Sarah as she awoke after her long daytime sleep. "It's a pity I never slept like that when I was still human."

"Well, you know what they say," said Winona. "There are trade-offs for everything. On one hand, we no longer have to worry about sunstroke or sunburns or boring daytime activities. On the other hand, we have eternal life, eternal youth and the ability to survive almost anything save fire, a neatly aimed crossbow bolt or a pointed stick."

"And the disadvantages to all that are what again?" asked Sarah.

"Oh, look," said Barbara. "Someone left a little surprise during our naptime."

Barbara pointed to the half-naked brunette which was currently suspended by a rope above their bedside.

Sarah looked up and said, "Yum! I was feeling a bit thirsty this evening. I wonder what flavor she is."

"She is Professor Adrienne Van Helsing," said the half-naked brunette. "And I am a professional vampire hunter. Mess with me at your peril."

At this point, the three girls laughed.

Then Barbara said, "Okay, you've had your joke. Now who are you really?"

"I am Professor Adrienne Van Helsing," said the half-naked brunette. "And I am a professional vampire --"

"Yeah, yeah," said Sarah. "We got that part. Now who are you really?"

"But I am Professor Adrienne Van Helsing," said the half-naked brunette. "I am. I really am."

"If you say so," said Winona. "Of course, you realize that if we take you at your word, we'll have to kill you. Granted, we're likely to kill you anyway but if you really are who you say you are, it will be more like an obligation on our part as opposed to, say, fun."

The half-naked brunette sighed heavily and said once more, "I am Professor Adrienne Van Helsing. I am a professional --"

"Hold that thought," said Barbara. "I thought I heard the doorbell."

"Doorbell?" asked Sarah. "Who would be visiting us at this hour of the day?"

"Perhaps someone with a **** wish?" said Winona. "Or maybe just another wannabe? Let's go see."

And with that, the three weird girls left the bedroom, leaving Professor Van Helsing literally hanging until they got back...
