Sunday Hangout

On the next day, which was Sunday, all of the Moore’s and Turner’s decided to have a family day so that Jessica and Jasmine could get back acquainted with each other. They didn’t really have much planned. It was just going to be all of them hanging out.

“So, are you looking forward to working at the Overton Resort?” Josie asked Jessica.

“Yeah, it will be nice to work for someone and not have to run things myself. Don’t get me wrong, a certain amount of freedom comes with working for yourself, but for me it was just a lot of stress that I didn’t want anymore.” Jessica said.

“That makes sense. Maybe you could get us all some discounts at the resort.” Jenn said and Jessica just shook her head while smiling.

“Always trying to find a way to get something for nothing. I see nothing has changed.” Jessica said.

“What can I say? I love family discounts.” Jenn said with a shrug.

“Anyway. What about you Jasmine? Are you ready to start school?” Debbie asked.

“I am looking forward to it. It is a good thing that I already have some people to hang out with. I feel lucky about that.” Jasmine said.

“Yep. She will be hanging out with my group.” Patrick said.

“It’s always good to have friends before you get thrown into a new situation.” Josie said.

“It sure is. I also know all of the fun places to go in town, so that’s a plus.” Jasmine said.

“If you ever get tired of Patrick and his friends, you are welcome to join my group as well.” Sue said.

“I will keep that in mind. Thanks.” Jasmine said.

“The only person in my group that she might have a problem with is Christine and that is not from not getting along either. It is the thing that she will try to corrupt Jaz if she isn’t careful.” Patrick said.

“What do you mean she will try to corrupt me?” Jasmine asked.

“Christine has been christened as the group slut. She always likes followers, so don’t fall for her words.” Patrick said.

“I thought Sabrina was the group slut?” Debbie said.

“Well, she is a close second, but Christine takes the cake. I believe she probably fucked everyone on the football team besides Ben and me after we won the state championship.” Patrick said.

“As in she got gangbanged?” Jasmine asked.

“Yep. She is a bit of a freak like that.” Patrick said.

“Sounds like something you would have done back in the day, Josie.” Jessica said, smiling at her sister.

“You’re one to talk.” Josie said back to Jessica.

“I know someone who is still doing that shit though.” Josie said as she and Jessica looked at Jenn, who just shrugged.

“I can’t help it that I like dick.” Jenn said with a shrug.

“It’s been forever since I have had any. Hopefully I can get out of my rut here in Big Lake.” Jessica said.

“Mom, I don’t want to hear about your sex life!” Jasmine exclaimed.

“Baby, it is perfectly natural for a woman to have needs. You will get it one day.” Jessica said.

“We might have someone in mind for you there, sis, but we will let you see if you can snag your own guy first.” Jenn said.

“Sounds good. So, where are the places to find guys to date around here?” Jessica asked.

“There are a few bars around that the single guys frequent, but there aren’t really any guys around here that I would consider datable. They are just in it for the sex.” Jenn said.

“Yeah, that is not exactly what I want. I will check some of the places out though. It’s worth a shot right? Jessica asked.

“Sure. You might find that diamond in the rough.” Josie said.

“Maybe Jasmine can tame Chad or Kirk.” Jenn said.

“Don’t wish that on the girl, Aunt Jenn. Those two are trouble.” Debbie said.

“The good kind of trouble if you ask me.” Jenn said.

“Whatever you say. Anyway, I think Jasmine would be better off with Billy or Greg. Those two are more relationship types.” Debbie said.

“Not that I don’t appreciate that help, but I am not exactly looking for a relationship right now.” Jasmine said.

“That’s right. Play the field.” Jenn said to her niece.

“I didn’t say I was going to be doing that either, Aunt Jenn. I am just trying to fit in right now until I fit in around here. After that I might consider a boyfriend.” Jasmine said.

“Well, that’s no fun.” Jenn pouted and Sue nodded in agreement.

“Jenn, let the girl do what she wants to do.” Josie said.

“Fine. So Jasmine, softball conditioning will start soon. I better see you there.” Jenn said.

“Don’t worry, Aunt Jenn. I will be there. You know softball is my sport.” Jasmine said.

“When does soccer start, Patrick?” Jessica asked.

“Around the same time as softball. The good thing is, we don’t play on the same days, so that would make it easier on me to catch some softball games.” Patrick said.

“I hear you are one of the stars. I look forward to watching you play.” Jessica said.

“I wouldn’t say I am a star. I play my part though. The start is Chase.” Patrick said.

“You are always so humble, Patrick. Everyone here knows that you are the leader of the mid-fielders and you might not score as many goals as Chase, but you do set him up most of the time and we all know that there would be no goals without a good assist.” Sue said, which really surprised Patrick since he thought that his younger sister didn’t pay attention to his games.

“She's right, little brother. You don’t give yourself enough credit.” Debbie said, smiling at Patrick, which he returned.

“Thanks guys. I knew you paid attention, Debbie. I had no idea that you did, Sue.” Patrick said.

“What? I might seem like I am not that mature, Patrick, but I do pay attention to your games. You are my brother and I love you. I would never not cheer you on, even when I am with my friends. Hell, your biggest fan is probably Sam. It's like someone overtakes her body or something when she comes to your games. She cheers you on just as much as I do.” Sue said.

“Damn, I can’t see that. I am going to have to hang out with your group the next time there is a game. I want to see a loud Sam.” Debbie said.

“It is very weird, but also funny.” Sue said.

“I think Sam might be in love. That is the only reason a girl acts so out of character when it comes to a guy.” Josie said.

“I have to agree with you there, sis. It looks like Patrick might have another Goldberg who might be really showing interest in him soon.” Jessica said.

“I don’t think she has feelings for me. She is just being a good friend.” Patrick said.

“I think you are wrong there Patrick. She can’t take her eyes off of you when you aren’t looking. She definitely has a crush.” Sue said.

“Well, I am pretty sure that Siri has a crush on me. She flirted with me hard when we were at the first Cheer Competition to cheer on Sasha.” Patrick said.

“You can take all three of the Goldberg girls off of the table then.” Jasmine said.

“That could cause a lot of trouble.” Debbie said.

“Tell me about it. I don’t know how Sasha would take it if for some reason I started dating her sisters too.” Patrick said.

“You make a good point. It might be better off to stay away from the two other Goldbergs.” Josie said.

“I don’t have any plans on acting on anything with them. All I need is Sasha.” Patrick said.

“What about Kelly and Sabel?” Jenn asked.

“I love them both, but Sasha is my number one. If I dropped any of them, it would not be Sasha.” Patrick said.

“I am pretty sure she feels the same way.” Debbie said.

“I know she does. So, enough about me. You know I don’t really like the attention.” Patrick said.

“That’s true. So, this has been a lot of fun. Maybe we should just have a family hang out every week.” Josie said.

“I agree.” Patrick said and everyone else nodded in agreement.

The group continued to talk for a while and then they all went their separate ways. The kids continued to hang out while the moms and aunt went and talked somewhere else. The Moore house might be very full right now, but it was good to have everyone together living under the same roof. Everything seemed to be working out in everyone’s favor and the group wouldn’t have it any other way.
