Summoning a certain someone

Shepard and Liara were still stood in shock, aghast that Ashley had had such tremendous luck.

“Do you think we should follow her lead?” Shepard asked.

“I think we have a decent system going already,” Liara replied. “Besides, that lucky escape could’ve been a fluke. I had no such luck with my clients, and I had 30 more pulls than Ashley had.”

“Clients? So the great Commander Shepard and Liara T’Soni have changed industries it seems.” Interrupted a newcomer.

Shepard and Liara turned, and were horrified to find Khalisah Al-Jilani standing before them, her camera hovering beside her.

“Good to see that both of you fully cuffed up. It means you won’t be able to escape like last time. Now, care to explain what you’re protesting against this time?”

“We are… protesting against the rich elite wasting their money on gambling when there’s an entire galaxy out there they’re ignoring.” Shepard blurted. “But you can’t ignore the naked and needy when they’re right in front of you!”

“Well said Commander. But how come you two are offering body feel ups and information in exchange for playing? Why are you clothes and the key to your cuffs locked behind the jackpot prizes in these machines? And why have you signed servitude contracts with the casino for if you don’t get out by closing time?”

“How - who told you that?!”

“My anonymous tip off told me all about the perverted game you were playing here.”

“Ashley,” Shepard and Liara grumbled in unison.

“Anywho, since you’ve proven yourselves to be liars, I think this interview has been rendered null. But I do agree with the message you’re promoting, so I want to help.” Khalisah’s mouth widened in a mischievous grin.

Shepard and Liara’s eyes widened in fear. Whatever the reporter had planned, it wouldn’t be good.
