How does Sue Storm react when confronted about her kissing women?

Sue Storm Feels More Confident About Kissing Women

Chapter 19 by Zeebop Zeebop

The kiss was featured on the front page of THE DAILY BUGLE. "Invisible Woman Saves City With A Kiss," the headline read the next day.

"Quick thinking, darling," Reed Richards said, after the Mole Queen had left. "I've already gotten in contact with the relevant authorities for the technology transfer, and various sperm banks are offering donations."

"Gotta admit, that worked," Ben Grimm added. "Didn't even have to punch anybody."

"Did you really have to kiss her, sis?" Johnny Storm asked.

"Why wouldn't I?" Sue said. "She needed a good kiss."

"Hello, Janet," Sue said with a smile, and leaned in to plant a kiss on her friend's lips. Janet van Dyne, the Wasp, who had perhaps been expecting a more European cheek-kiss, was taken aback. She was shorter than Sue, and favored a pixie cut for her dark brown hair, but the lithe, toned body was dressed in a bespoke red dress that probably cost more than the average car, and showed off the smaller woman's curves to her advantage.

Sue was dressed much more casually, with a jean jacket over her Fantastic Four costume. If she zipped it up, it could easily look like she was rushing from the gym in her workout clothes, though Sue wasn't trying to hide. If anything, she enjoyed the looks she was getting from the other diners.

They settled down to brunch with a laugh, the waiters already bringing mimosas, egg-white omelets, and exotic fruit.

"Is that going to be your new trademark?" Jan asked, as she stuck a spoon into half a dragonfruit.

"Why not?" Sue said. "What's wrong with kissing women? It's a sign of friendship and affection."

"That may be," the Wasp said, her immaculately manicured eyebrows wagging. "But people are going to start talking about how much you like girls. They might even think you're bisexual."

Sue scoffed.

"I'm married with two children," Sue said. "If that isn't proof enough of my sexuality, I don't know what is. Let them talk. It doesn't concern me in the slightest."

The rest of brunch they discussed the Avengers on both coasts, Janet's latest fashion line for superheroines, Captain America refusing to wear the thong she'd selected for the swimsuit calendar, and the latest Nora Roberts novel. Yet Sue sensed that Janet was thinking about the end of the brunch, at their parting.

Sue didn't disappoint her. A kiss goodbye. Just a little tongue. This time, Janet acted neither shocked nor reluctant.

"We'll have to do this again soon," Sue said. "Next week?"
