Stunned

The two share a moment as Alex watches on, stunned by an odd feeling of jealousy. Only this morning Nathan was looking at him that way, giving him such adoring attention.

The strange moment is broken as Nathan suggests "let's get your boy toy a drink Ella, he looks like he could use one." Smiling mischievously he gives Alex a wink. "We'll be back"

Before Alex can react the two disappear into the crowd. Falling back onto the banister Alex tries to get his head together. This day had just been too much, maybe he should be drinking more.

A few minutes two pass, the music rages on and people float in and out of the party. Alex waits on the back deck, finally feeling a bit better when it occurs to him that Nathan and Alex had been gone for a while now . . .
