Chapter 11
by SingingLark
Will the princess try to learn more about either of her companions?
Study instead
As much as she wanted to know better both of her companions, Liandra realized that she could have been of much better help, if only she didn't need to constantly check the book for spell songs. She wasn't a bad student, so if she just had a little time to memorize the songs, she could probably call upon them at short notice.
So she went to a secluded spot in the abandoned Mill, and started to study. There were so many interesting spells, songs to enchant and bewilder, but she wouldn't have time to study but a couple. The first she chose was to memorize the song of spring renewal, the same she used earlier that day.
That was when she found a song that she unlike the others. This one was written in elvish and it was a ballad of three demonic tainted heroes, always divided between good and evil. And worse, the three heroes were a priestess of Dara, the goddess of hunt and ****, a half blood demon warlock prince and a bored ghost elven king that sacrificed his kingdom and body for the thrills of debauchery. It was too much of a coincidence, when she compared them to Altima, Calcifer and Nariel.
She didn't understand exactly what the spell did. It appeared to be some kind of mass demonic possession spell, but the vessel sounded like an absurd blurb of adjectives. The unholy germination in an once male uterus, thrice dammed progeny of two mothers and two fathers. What could that mean?
Her sole consolation was the reference to an all redeeming blade, forged from a warrior´s purity, coated in the blood of the innocent and tempered by the wisdom of surrender. This sword was called Holy Avenger and had the virtue of banishing the demon taint, but she couldn't find any clues of its whereabouts.
What will Liandra do? Can she still trust her companions?
