Stuck

“Well ain’t that a kick in the head,” Justice said once Tim had stopped cussing long enough to realize that time had stopped. She was staring at the space around Tim’s mother, Natalie.

“Justice!” Tim jumped up and ran to her, his breasts bouncing wildly, “what the hell is going on?!”

“I think,” she said slowly, her ancient voice creaking like a rusty hinge, “that my sisters have been here. You, my little breadcrumb, seem to be quite popular in my family.”

“So, what, your sisters are screwing with my destiny again?”

“No, not Destiny,” she wiggled her fingers and waved her hands as if shooing away flies, “and not you. Your mother. Dear old mommy here has a bad case of the hots for you, junior. I can’t see their work, exactly, not my field, but I’d guess it’s Lust or Desire. Maybe both.”

“Didn’t they say they’d leave us alone?” Tim’s girlish voice rang.

“Well, technically they didn’t touch you, sweetheart,” Justice responded, pointing a thumb at Tim’s mom, “it’s all on her.”

“Can you fix it? Can you make her normal again?”

Justice considered the lustful mortal on the bed, then shook her head.

“I could try, but I’d probably get it wrong,” she croaked, “I can’t see Lust and Desire’s work, only the results of it. All sorts of bulging and twisting. Whatever they did, it’s interwoven into all sorts of things. It would be guesswork, and I’d probably break something.”

“So she’s stuck like this?!”

“I should have guessed that they’d be up to something,” Justice continued, walking over to sit on the bed next to Tim’s mother, patting the frozen woman on her behind as she passed, “all of my sisters can be such bitches. They see any minor inconvenience as a personal affront.”

“Fuck my life,” Tim had knelt down on the floor, holding his head in his hands, “Everyone will think we’re freaks!”

“Oh, you don’t have to worry about that,” Justice said with a chuckle. This kid always got himself so worked up if problems that practically fixed themselves, “Something like that would be easy to fix. Much easier than trying to change whatever it is that my sisters did.”

“What do you mean?” Justice saw his face look up at her from the carpet. His eyes looked red, tired perhaps, but maybe more. Her sisters had really done a number on him this time.

“Freaks,” she said, “We can easily take the freakiness out of things. Everyone will think it’s totally normal.”

“I don’t get it.”

“Dear old dad in the doorway,” she jerked her head his way, “Nobody thinks it’s weird for him to be with your mother, even though he himself truly is a freak, right? Why don’t you just swap for that?”

“But can’t you just turn her horniness off?”

“Sorry babe,” Justice said, “not in my power. This woman is going to burn for you for the rest of her days. There’s nothing I can do about it. And if we don’t change something, with the level of manipulation those cows used, it’ll start to get to her. She might not end up okay,” she tapped her forehead, “in the noggin.”

“Damnit,” the kid whined from the floor. He would come around, she knew he would. It wasn’t like he had a lot of options, after all. This new move by her sisters would be tricky to watch out for. Destiny and Luck had been so focussed on Tim, they had mostly ignored his family. If Lust and Desire were willing to mess with those around Tim, Justice would have to take a more proactive approach to dealing with them.

“Fine,” Tim’s feminine tone brought her back to the moment, “Just do it. I don’t like it, but I feel like I’m stuck.”

“Don’t worry your pretty little head,” Justice said, preparing her power for what was needed, “I’ll make sure it’s not all bad.”
