Stubborn plant

Ashley had found her self getting into thicker weed that had grown during the warmer parts of winter. Some proved to be easy and others not so much. Upon grabbing onto one of the weeded plants she got a significant resistance. It was so rooted in that she had to get two hands on the thick base of the plant. Like she was in the middle of trying to do a deadlift at the gym she grunted and groaned as she pulled and pulled. The plant was being stubborn and not letting go and Ashley stepped back as she took the straw hat off and wiped her forehead of perspiration. Letting out a huff of air she studied the plant and wonder how rooted it was into the spot. She gathered her breath before commencing forward to get the plant out.

Reapplying her straw hat to her, she walked up to the garden bed and rolled both of her sleeves up and took in a deep breath. Her eyes twinkled as she focused in on the stubborn plant. At this point, she felt the plant made her feel weak and incapable of uprooting one lonely plant. Giving her legs a shake to make sure they were loose, she squatted down in a deep squat and took hold of the base of the plant with one hand and the middle of the plant with her other hang. Taking in a deep breath, she tugged the plant to feel it out and felt a slight budge. Taking the cue that it was ready to come out, she gave a another grunt as yanked hard. She kept her back in proper deadlift form and pushed hard with her legs. The cardigan shorts held on for deer life as she flexed her legs to pull out the plant. Suddenly she felt movement and before she could figure it out what was moving, the siding of the garden bed had gave way to her planted feet and she yelped as she fell back only pulling tip of the plant off. Landing hard on her back, she sat there shell shocked from the jolted landing. Her eyes were squished closed from the impact and when she opened her eyes, her head tilted back and she could see that she had an audience.
