Strolling, she says...

"As silly as it may sound, I was merely out for a walk when I was surprised by your scouts." Says the elf, with the nonchalance that is such a common and annoying trait among her kind. If she'd been able to stand at full height in your tent you're certain she'd do so - and be looking down at you with mild reproach in her beautiful eyes. But instead she remains on the floor - somehow managing a graceful pose, even with her hands secured behind her back. "And as for your name... I must say that goblin speech is not so difficult to understand..."

"It's uncommon for an elf to be strolling on random." You insist, though you must admit it's even more uncommon for one to get caught by a couple of goblins. Either your scouts are deserving a reward, or there was something truly distracting on this woman's mind. "What were you doing here, exactly? Even if you weren't spying on us, I am certain you're keeping the truth from me..."

"You are not accusing me of lying, are you?" She smiles, but something in her eyes makes you understand there is something more at stake here than just merely her life. She wants to get out of here, which isn't that odd for a prisoner of course, but unlike other elves you've encountered she actually seems to be in a hurry.

"I don't accuse you of anything, yet." You tell her, in your most polite kind of manner, and then call for your guards to bring some food for your guest. Just a few moments later they appear with a fresh bowl of fruit, and you notice how the woman tries to hide just how hungry she is. "Until I get to know you a little better though, I'd like you to stay here as my guest for a while. I will treat you with all the respect, but ask you to stay close, because I cannot swear on the actions of my subjects."

"I am... delighted by your generosity, Chieftain." She nods in approval, but again you can see straight through her calm demeanors. "Then would you be so kind to let me free of my bonds? Or are you afraid that I would try and overpower you?"

Now that was about as reckless as one of her kind could get, you think to yourself as you notice just a hint of an insult in her voice. A goblin or human in the same position would likely have tried that kind of trick on you as soon as you got alone with them, but for an elf to even pretend like they're harmless or inferior must be getting **** indeed...
