Stopped by a cheerleader

“HEY! Freshman!” A peppy tall girl yelled jumping out in front of Liz.

Liz was startled and gasped as the girl smiled. “E-excuse me…”

“Get yourself out there and socialize by attending our annual Freshman Fever Party at 10 PM tonight. Everyone will be there and you don’t want to miss it.”

Liz gulped knowing full well she had no intention of attending some frat party.

The commotion caused Mac to look up and grin. “Oh, hey Bitsy,” she said. “I thought I heard you got into LSU. Guess Harvard said no, huh?”

Liz blushed. “T-they… said I didn’t fit what they were looking for…” Liz said quietly.

Mac grinned. “Aw, I’m sure. It’s okay though You’ll have fun at LSU. Say, did you know Sarah is starting up here too? Maybe you’ll share classes.”

Liz paled. She thought she had gotten away from the big bully. Apparently not. “O-oh…”

“Oh hey, there she is now,” Mac said.

Liz spun around and her eyes widened as the familiar tall girl stared down at her with long brown hair and muscles from playing softball.

“Hey, Bitty Bitsy,” Sarah said with a grin. “I didn’t know you were here. But hey, it’s college now. Let’s bury all our conflict and start fresh. In fact, I want to take you under my wing.”

Sarah put an arm around Liz and whispered. “You better play along. Don’t want to look bad in front of all these upper classmates.”

Liz smiled and said. “Oh, yeah. All grievances buried under the rug.”

Sarah smirked. “Good girl. Hey, you grew your boobies finally. I remember when you were flat as a board hahaha. You looked like you were 12 in sophomore year.”

Liz blushed. “L-look. I was just gonna go…”

“Go where?” Sarah asked.

Liz gulped. “T-the library…”

The girls all chuckled and laughed. “Wow, Liz, I thought after Harvard rejected you you’d finally put down a book. Come on now, let me introduce you to these girls. The one that greeted you is Britney and that there is Teresa. They are respectively President and Vice President of Delta Gamma . We’re going to have so much fun,” Sarah said. “And you’re going to join us. I won't let you say no. Of course you know Mac. She’s also part of Delta Gamma and this year I’m joining too.”

“I’m not interested in a sorority,” Liz said. “Please…”

“I insist. This is your opportunity to get out there. Attend the party tonight. We’ll get you started with pledging. And soon you’ll be a sister for life. Promise me you’ll be at the party and I swear I’ll let you study in the library,” Sarah said.
