Stoped at the gate again

You make your way to the castle. It is late in the afternoon by the time you get there but not quite evening. You are again stopped by the guards. "I am surprised to see you back, beast." The same guard as before mocks you.

"I have slain the Manticore as the king demanded" you inform him ignoring his mockery and you lift up the carcass.

"Good lord!" He exclaims. "Still You will have to stay here while the word is taken to the king and we will see if you have earned entrance into the castle." he declared.

"How preposterous!" Hwin interjected. "This man saved my life, our lives" she gestured to Mary "We are to become knights of this realm" gesturing to herself and you " Let us through!" She demanded.

"I am sorry, Mam, but my orders will not allow me to let this beast into the castle without permission." The guard replies.

"let me see the scroll you were given." Hwin asked you. You go to your saddlebag and take out the scroll and hand it to her. she looks at it. "This man told you the truth when he said this read Kill the Manticore. However, this is clearly not the king's writing. You declare and head towards the gate. The guards have to get out of the way or be hit by you and the Yurt. You make your way into the castle. One guard shouts angerly at you and the other shouts an apology as you work your way through the streets towards the courtyard. In the courtyard, there is a bustling market. More humans than you have ever seen in one place selling the most interesting things.

"OOO" Mary coos as she sees the splendour of the place.

"We can shop later." You remark, knowing you will regret saying that. You have to hitch your Yurt and leave Mary to look after the baby. She is only young but you hopefully won't be gone long. You and Hwin make your way through the market with the body of the Manticore on your back. Many merchants offer you all sorts of prices for it but you press on. Maybe after showing it to the King, you would find a good price.

You are shown into the court buy some shocked but more polite guards. The King sits on his thrown with Lords and Ladies sitting around the room. You through the body of the Manticore onto the ground.
